Excellent torch for many uses
This is what I'd consider the ideal torch. I primarily use this for 4th of July to light fireworks. There is not a better tool for the job, bar none. I've used every kind of ligher, punks, and even road flares. It's a large powerful flame that instantly ignites when you pull the trigger, and instantly goes out when you release the trigger. You can adjust the flame from a decent size to quite powerful(for a blow torch). It is well constructed, heavy but not overly so, and withstand abuse very well. It's even been contaminated with a lot of sand at the beach several times and once you blow it out it is perfectly fine. I've only used this torch for about 13 months, but it still works as well as day one. Lots of power for soldering and brazing as well, but I'll be honest this is my fireworks torch. It's very efficient, one propane canister can light hours worth of fireworks because it only uses fuel when you are holding the trigger, which isn't long since lighting even the largest fuses or sparklers is a breeze. I've also used it to sear meat after sous vide but I have a much more powerful tool better suited for that job (it's a huge flame that's not as concentrated), but this is 10x better than your standard butane culinary torch.

Great quality, works as advertised.
Works great for the regular propane tanks, fits in your hand nicely and is very easy to use. Locking the flame on is great for heating up objects with a pliers, and the regulator means it can be used up side down.

Great if you need adjustability, otherwise stick to the TS4000
Love this torch. Solid and heavy, these last forever. The adjust-ability is great and the flame shape is perfect for both delicate and aggressive heating tasks. However, if you just want a torch to start fires, or blast a stubborn bolt with heat, go for the TS4000 version. It has an aggressive flame and just starts without having to wonder if the knob was turned up, down or off.

Expensive but worth it.
Expensive but wort it for Bernzomatic there the best in the torch market. However, their prices keep going up so if you want one buy it now. You used to be able to get them for $30 now there at $70 with shipping and Tax. It's expensive but worth it. It'll last forever.

possible change in warranty policy.
I have had great and not so great results with this companies warranty policy. I have a small farm. Farms have rusty parts. Rusty parts need this torch and a can of Aerokroil to fight the rust war. I have a few Bernzomatic torches. A Bernzomatic TS4000, and two TS8000 torches. The first TS8000 lasted a few years and when I called, a female customer service person went out of her way to help me out about a year ago, in the fall of 2018. She sent me a new torch and literally went on Amazon and purchased my second TS8000 feeling they honored their lifetime warranty and I really appreciated her efforts. It never fails I have my torch in one shop and need one in another area or the house so this is the reason I have three right now. My TS4000 torch is now acting up and I called to see what they could do. Based on the last interaction I was expecting a pretty easy phone call but that was not the case. I ended up with a male customer service person who was not wanting to help and instead mentioned the torch was pretty old. I asked if I would need to purchase a new one and he said yes. I asked if it was under warranty and he said it was not. It was just worn out is what he inferred. Well, so much for the life time warranty. I had thought of calling back and seeing if I caught a crabby customer service person and see if another would be more flexible. Based on other feedback I figured things must be changing and I was not interested in arguing or wasting more time on a broken torch. So as I am looking I find that bernzomatic has competition now that I did not notice in the past. I saw a similar model made by Mr. Torch and I am assuming Mr. Torch is a knock off of Bernzomatic but I am not sure who came first. The MR. TORCH BTS-8088 has a lot of the same features and is less monies. I bought one and it feels really nice with a similar if not better fit and finish. And most important the Mr. Torch has a nice even, hot, flame. If Bernzomatic is not going to honor their warranty, I will be forced to buy a torch on price and not on warranty and just toss it without worry or stress. I figure they brought it on themselves by either hiring this guy or training him with this reaction to my broken tool. The Bernzomatic torches are good torches and I gave them a four star review as I really did and do like my Bernzomatic torches. They have held up to a point. A lifetime warranty is a lifetime warranty. Period. If its a different warranty, or a "we need to see if its our problem or your problem", then I will buy on price and toss it. Who has time to screw around with a torch when its hard enough to make a living these days and life is short. The Mr. Torch is very similar to the Bernzomatic and less monies. Your call whether to buy this one or not. Its a good torch. Just be prepared to buy another if this purchase fails. Or something may change again at the company regarding their warranty policy. If so, I have a TS4000 I do not trust any more sitting in my shop broken, waiting for me to some day dissect it and see what is broken.

Good Quality Torch
I have always used the old style torch with the separate flint starter. This is so much better with the trigger start and no need to constantly turn off the bottle flow while I'm working. I love this Bernzomatic torch.
