Perfect for a .22 and maybe even larger.
I tried one of these on my Sig556 with pleasing results before I upgraded to a nicer scope with more bells and whistles.I then moved this bad boy to my Sig522 and I tell you what....I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER!I posted a picture of my target(on the main page) after getting dialed in which didn't take too long.It was from a rested position, at 50 yards on the max power. Ammo was Federal 36gr bulk that you can get at Wal*Mart or Cabela's.The scope itself comes with lenses covers(one clear, one amber) and some really low weaver style rings. The supplied rings won't mount to a standard 1913 rail so they will need to be replaced. The 30/30 recticle is easy to use and the glass isn't bad for what you pay for.I will say that long periods of shooting with my "fancier" scope will blur my eyes a bit and I will eventually end up having trouble focusing my eye(not the scope). But with this BSA that was never and issue. It didn't hurt my eyes after extended periods of use and I was able to maintain focus for longer periods of time over my 200.00 scope.I have another one that I plan on taking to the range and putting on my Sig556 to see if I like it better than my 200.00 scope. The only downside to this scope is that it doesn't have a dedicated focus adjustment. If you're zoomed in too much for a target that is too close it will be fuzzy and you'll need to back off the power until you get a clear picture.Other than that, I have not one problem with this product and will gladly buy more if I need to.Construction seems sturdy and appears to hold a zero well.

Used refurbished, scratched scope, chromatic aberration!
BSA scope arrived scratched and seemed heavily used. Looks like a refurbished low quality control item.Regardless if this item arrived new or not, the quality is horrible. Outside is very cheap plastic, Tasco delivers much better scopes for much less money.Internal glass has excessive distortion, excessive chromatic aberration, flare, very low contrast. You have no ability to refocus the target compared to other scopes and if it does then it must be Krazy glued.I buy frequently at Amazon, read my other feedback and will notice I am very fair on reviews, but this scope is the worst of the worst on items purchased through Amazon.FYI: this is exactly the same scope as Gamo, identical from adjusting windage and elevation knobs to the mounts and exterior finish, only difference is the BSA badge. Conclusion: this scope is junk, the reviews here are jacked. Looking through this scope is similar to those old school Tokina/ Vivitar/ Soligor camera lenses that came out in the 80s for film SLR cameras, horrible. I have done my homework buying scopes from Sports Academy/ Authority, Gander Mtn, Dickies and even Wal-Mart... If you dont want to spend the extra cash and stay below $50.00 buy a Tasco or Winchester. Some more money and go with Bushnell or Nikon.Peace out!

Cant beat it.
For the price of this scope its hard to beat. On my Ruger 10/22 it has preformed flawlessly. The scope holds zero very well and after switching out the rings(which i knew i would have to do) it attached in a few seconds. About as easy to dial in as most scopes, i was putting quarter inch groupings at 50 yards standing. after putting about 250 rounds down range with the scope i stopped to check how everything was holding, and the scope hadn't moved a millimeter. Over all feel of the scope is pretty rugged, although i doubt it would survive a 30ft drop it will definitely hold up to any range time you throw at it. tossing it in and out of the truck or banging it against walls(all of which ive don :I) doesn't even seem to leave a scratch on it. All in all i am very happy and surprised at the quality of this cheap-o BSA scope.

Nice Scope for the money
This is the perfect scope upgrade for any air rifle purchased at "Wal-Mart" type stores. Break barrel rifles require a specific "air rifle" scope do to the "double recoil" that these types of rifles create. This on may look like the one that came with the rifle but it is double braced. It is made by BSA who is big in the Air Rifle market. At Amazon I found the scope at half price of Cabelas and Bass Pro shops And it had FREE next day shipping! Arrived Christmas Eave at my Dad's to go with the rifle we bought him.

Keeps falling off
I got this scope and out it on my 22marlin. The scope looks great on the gun. My only issue is I took it out to the range And it kept falling off the gun. I had issues with zeroing it to. I wouldn't buy this brand of scope again.

great scope
I would buy this again if i needed to it comes with the rings lens cover and a allen wrench the only bad thing is i cant figure out the zoom which is the main reason i got it but still great scope.update 3/23/13 this scope has finally been sighted in on my 10/22 and i can get 1 inch groups at 25 yds with it easily but i eventually plan on buying a nicer scope there is nothing wrong with this scope but it could be improved the zoom it is at is nice but i would prefer the possibility to zoom in more if i get out farther. So in an update i would probably not put this on a gun again but a pellet gun would be more suitable

Good quality, does the job
Fits on perfectly. Easy to use and good clear vision. Not bulky like some sights are.Mounts fit well keeping it firmly in place.Better quality than some more expensive ones that I've come across. All in all good value for money.

Basic sights
Very simple basic sight, nice and lightweight. The limitation of this scope is that at such a low magnification it would only be used at short range, however the parallax adjustment is much too long (100 yards) maxing your retina placement becomes critical. If either your head or the scope move while on target is like looking through a ship's porthole in a swell, the reticle appears to swim over the target.I used it for rapid fire Chrony testing an air rifle at shortish range and felt motion sickness after 5 minutes. For a cheap magic scope on a back yard plinker it's fine.Once zeroed it works well enough at close range, but you would have to make sure you had a perfectly even sight picture every shot.
