This has kept gout under control. Other brands not so much.

I have used this product for about 8 years or more and wouldn't consider not using it. Some of the negative reviews below don't realize why it doesn't work for them. This is not a medicine. It is a natural herbal remedy which means that it takes time normally to build up and be effective on an ongoing basis. I take one in the morning with breakfast and another at night with dinner. However, its ongoing effectiveness will be impacted by minor (or major) dietary changes which are also necessary depending on your eating habits. If a person's diet is packed with rich foods on a consistent basis and lots of red meat without being offset with healthier elements in one's diet, then no gout medicine or herbal remedy will ultimately be completely effective. Another cause of build up of uric acid in the blood can be the side effects from some blood pressure reducing medicines (such as HCTZ) which is how I originally began to get gout (as well as a love for some rich foods :). Because of changes in diet & exercise, I was able to stop taking HCTZ when my blood pressure lowered to normal levels but the gout remained. But after a short time of taking Total Cleanse (I can't remember how long it took) along with a couple of Advil once or twice a day for about 3 days, the immediate gout crisis ended. I very rarely get any flareups at all, even during holiday season with all of the rich food enjoyed in moderation. I recommend this product very highly if you are also willing to make some minor dietary adjustments. Not a lot, but it depends on the elements that are causing gout flareups.

This product really works as I have already purchased 3 bottles. Since taking this item I havent had any flares or attacks, but remember that you must watch your diet. Avoid shellfish, beer, and excessive red meat.When people tell you gout pain is bad, believe them. I first had a gout attack many years ago while traveling. I woke up in the middle of the night with really bad pain in my big toe. I couldnt even walk to the bathroom.It was on the day we were to leave to go home and the pain was so bad I actually considered staying and seeing a doctor there. My wife convinced me we would be better to go ahead and get home. The same day we came home I was able to see my family doctor. He prescribed some prescription medicines and told me there was not much else I could do. Since I am a big believer in herbal medicines I started to look for some other kind of treatment. This product has helped with lowering pain in my knees. I'm an active 63. Knees constantly hurt. I tried this from a co worker mentioning it. It has helped alot. Not eliminated pain but definitely reduced it alot. It's worth a try. While pricey, my only hitch, it's worth the dollar a day for the relief. Think about what you spend a dollar on. I recommend you try it.

Great product! Works quickly when I have a gout flare up.

I didn't experience the quick cure to my gout attack like others who recovered within 48 to 72 hours. It took over two weeks of downing 3 of these gel caps daily along with a prescription of Allopurinol tabs to fend off a severe case of this painful malady. I typically get a case of gout once a year, but found this most recent attack much longer in duration. Going to curtail the beer and foods that contribute to this disease, and will keep the drugs handy to help respond to it in the future. I can't quantify how helpful taking Solaray total cleanse is alone, but they worked well with the prescription drug in clearing my system of uric acid build up.
