Absolute powerhouse!
This is my 5th Nikon Digital camera (SLR) and first mirrorless camera and it did not disappoint! I shoot mostly lightning and extreme weather, typically I set up my camera with a 3rd party intervalometer, tripod, rain cover etc and shoot a couple thousand frames, then use a software program to create a timelapse and of course finding individual lightning shots to save and print. The features in this camera not only allow me to great great high res photos, but the built in interval settings means I no longer have to pack the old intervalometer (which is compatible with the z7ii), but it also has a time-lapse movie option that will make a time-lapse in camera, just put it on a p.c. and hit play! Better yet it has an "exposure smoothing" option that will give you flicker free time-lapse movies! It tightly controls, ISO, aperture and shutter speed so you can shoot day to night, night to day time-lapses, flicker free and even use "program mode" if you like! The I-menu is another great feature, all the most important settings can be quickly accessed from here, including AF modes, picture size/quality, white balance etc. Nice large rear monitor that has a 2 axis mechanism for low or high shooting angles, and it's also a touch screen! Completely quiet shutter mode ( I like to hear the shutter, but nice option when you really need to be quiet). Then of course the picture quality which is just outstanding, you could crop out 75% of the photo and still have enough quality and detail for large prints. This camera is also plenty fast enough for shooting fast moving subjects (the Z8 is even better suited for fast action, but this unit will still do an exceptional job for that type of shooting). There are way too many features to go over in a review like this and I am still learning and testing out this camera, but so far it's capabilities have exceeded my expectations! It's worth every penny!

Fantastic product!!
Been researching cameras for a while to narrow down which one would work best for me. I think I made the best choice by going with this camera! I love the user-friendly menu and settings and the variety of lenses that are offered for this model. Very sharp quality although the battery life is not the best. I highly recommend buying back up batteries. After taking nearly 8 years off from photography, I am back and it was all made possible with this camera.

Dream camera acquired
MY DREAM CAMERA!!!!!!!!! Battery life is insane compared to my Panasonic LUMIX. I can do two shoots without leaving full battery. It fits well in my small hands, has incredible performance in all lighting conditions, and is just a jaw dropping gorgeous incredible machine. I am a die hard Nikon girl now that I own this camera. I got this about a month ago and am still not over my obsession with it.

Wonderful
Fantastic pictures, quiet and fast. Definitely worth the upgrade from my previous Nikon. More price effective to buy the camera and FTZ adapter separately.

Nice incremental upgrade to the Z7-1 at an attractive lower initial base price...
Been a Z-7 owner since first release. Also own Canon 5DS-R, 5DMKII. Generally Why Z7-line? - A+ still image quality (I shoot RAW and edit in Photoshop) - A+ ergonomics & best menus in business (not perfect, but pretty great) - Assignable buttons = fantastic - View finder and rear screen are A+ - Silent/stealth operation is perfect. - Z lenses and N-Z adapter = phenomenal optics. Currently using all favorite Z, G, Zeiss, Sony E, Canon EOS, SIRUI anamorphic lenses no problem. Cannon lenses via slightly temperamental/flawed Techart EF>Z adapter (will not work in pure MF mode!). Why to upgrade to Z7-II? - Faster in-camera computing (2nd processor), generally snappier operation, faster, more accurate auto focus. - Better video (up to 4k 60p 10 bit in cam) - Slightly longer lasting batteries (but will NOT work with Z7-1 batteries), even though the new batts will charge in the old charger. - 2 card slots - but not 2 slots of the same kind...a slightly annoying, but also interesting pair of XQD/CFEx & SD. So if using CFEx, second card will always be much slower...This design choice was a compromise...give new shooters option to run faster CFEx cards for high end video and raw bursts, retain XQD compatibility, provide SD option as primary or backup because it's smaller and fits. Future will be two CFEx/XQD slots or two of some new smaller version of the CFEx. Negatives: - Still no Z pancake 24mm 1.4 that would make this the ultimate "beyond film Leica M" stealth travel cam. BTW: the NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR Ultra-Compact is fantastic at 16mm...and no-brainer inexpensive...but only DX rez. If you need stealth, that is the way to get it currently. Just carry the Z 24mm 1.8 in your pocket/pack for high rez full frame shots. - Wish all Z lenses had an assignable ring controller (like the kit 24-70) that can be mapped to F stop. F-stop control should ALWAYS be on the lens, PERIOD!!! - Why are all the native Z lenses about the same length as the G's + FTZ adapter? Seems like there are actually ZERO native Z lenses yet. They should be 1" shorter.

Wow!
What an amazing camera. It's a bit overwhelming at first learning all the settings. Nikon does provide a great free video (once you've registered the camera) that helps to explain all the major features and functions. There are also many YouTube videos from people who dive deeper into its functions, settings, and uses. And at 45MP, you can't beat the exceptional quality of any prints from the Z 7II. As an artist, this camera was a must for me, in order to photograph and upload extremely high-quality images of my paintings so that my customers can get them printed in any size, using a variety of mediums, such as canvas, paper, metal, or acrylic.

Comprei a câmera com intuito de fotografia de aves, e não gostei do resultado! O que me fez repensar o set up!
