Mario Badescu Anti Acne Serum for Combination & Oily Skin | Clarifying Gel-Serum that Tackles Clogged Pores | Formulated with Salicylic Acid and Glycerin

I became a fan of Mario Badescu products several years ago when I received some free samples and I’ve been hooked ever since. I like their products because they work. This product is meant to prevent acne eruptions before they start with this salicylic acid based gel. Just a thin layer spread over the acne prone areas every evening will keep your skin smooth and clear and acne pimples at bay. This is a very lightweight gel that absorbs into your skin quickly and it doesn’t feel oily, greasy or heavy. It will become sticky on your hands, so you will need to wash them after applying. I use this if I'm about to develop a breakout. I apply at night after cleansing and before my night cream and it stops breakouts before they even get the chance to start. I admit that I’m not regimented enough to use it every single night, but I find that if I’m particularly stressed out or know that I’m about to have acne issues, I will use this for a few days in a row and avert the crisis. This bottle is also a soft plastic and small enough to take with you if you travel a lot for work or if you want to bring it on vacation so you look your best for all those pictures. I actually have a couple bottles of this. I leave one in my “hotel bag” that I check at the hotel when I travel for work and I have one at home so I’m never without it.

I have been having acne issues in my 20s that no antibiotics were working and kept having to have cortisone injections for cystic acne which left depressions.. and even if a pore clogged but didn't form a pimple it would get red an inflamed and leave a scar for weeks. I have tried so many wayyyyy expensive things like $90 bottle to diy home remedies. This is the only thing that works. It prevents acne, it heals acne so quickly, and it fades my scarring. i added photos of my first week on it as a before and after, I had red puffy scarring and a cystic pimple forming just under my nose that never got a chance. I use it every night just on acne prone areas and I haven't had a single cystic acne since and I am so so so greatful. I should mention also that I do suffer from eczema as well as acne so oil and dry sensitive is reallllly fun. I break out looking at drugstore products. My skin loves this. It doesn't leave skin oily or dry and now I am confident enough to not wear makeup! Seriously it is worth a try, I know it may not work for everyone but just a chance that it works well for you too is worth itttttt!

This is great stuff. I purchased it after I started using the acne starter kit and really like it. It's a serum that is used for problem areas only. The serum is a bit sticky so I use it before I go to bed so that it works during the night. It helps with redness and I noticed that when I feel swelling or inflammation, with a blemish that hasn't reached the surface yet, it reduces the tenderness and redness which I love. When I use it at night it takes the tenderness away and I can see that the blemish doesn't come up. If i have some inflammation in the morning I will apply a small amount on the problem area under my makeup. Like I said it has a bit of a sticky texture but it doesn't get to sticky if you use a small amount under makeup. Overall great product.

This is a GREAT product! Okay...it took me a few tries to figure this out but here is what worked for me... - Wash face with gently liquid soap at night - After washing pat dry - Use a clean cloth, let sit under hot water, wring out excess water and put cloth over your face for a minute or two (yes you can breathe!) - Use a light moisturizer/lotion (I use clinique gel lotion) - Squeeze a nickel size portion of Mario Badescu Anti-Acne Serum into your palm, rub in hands then all over face (put a little extra in problem/breakout areas if you have them...like the forehead) In the morning my skin is clear and smooth and the best part - NO NEW ACNE!

Doesn't do much in regards to helping eliminate acne if you have a couple pimples maybe but this is not a serum for acne. Good for sensitive skin, if you have oily it's not for you

This is a must have beauty product. I never let myself run out. When you see/feel a blemish, you spot treat w/ this clear thick serum & it’s usually gone overnight. It doesn’t dry out or burn the skin at all. Works great, is worth the amount it costs & delivers on everything it says it will do. I use it both to spot treat blemishes & to run into my nose/chin to get rid of & then prevent blackheads. It’s the only product I’ve found where I’ve been able to do that without then having to deal with dry, peeling skin. If you have general acne, you could rub this clear serum all over your face. And after it dries, I’ve had no problem applying make up over it.

I've always struggled with the occasional break out on my chin and jawline. However, wearing a facemask everyday for 8+ hours has cost me a constant breakout on my chin. I decided to buy the MB facewash and other products- but came across this acne serum. I was hesitant to try since my skin is very sensitive to acne medication- other products have causes inflammation and burning after 2-3 uses causing me to throw away hard earned $. I have been using this for a few weeks now every night before I put on my night cream (also MB product). I have had zero negative reactions and have stopped my breakouts for the first time since facemasks became our norm. I just put a little bit on my problem areas every night, after toning but before moisturizing. I am so pleased with the results and will replace this as soon as I start to run out.

This bottle is extremely expensive but to tell you the truth; I am not sure if it works.... The amount inside the bottle is too tiny.
