El Español de los Estados Unidos (Spanish Edition)

I like this book because it is very interesting, informative and provides statistics about immigration, Spanish proficiency among various Spanish-speaking groups. Variation of dialects are also included. Had to buy it because I'm enrolled in Spanish M.A. courses. The language of the book is Spanish, but it's not a very complex read, even though my native language is English. It includes review exercises and a glossary of bold-faced terms in the text; the key terms are defined in Spanish, so it's necessary to be proficient in Spanish. The book arrived a week before class started and was in excellent condition. If you like learning about Spanish in the U.S. then this book is for you.

I really enjoyed this book, the spanish is not as complex as one would think. There is a lot of information of the development of varieties and it really allowed me to further understand the impact of spanish in the United states and the united states on spanish

Excellent book to PRESERVE the Spanish Language among Heritage Spanish speakers in the U.S. Both author's (Escobar and Potowski) deserve an A+ :)

The layout of this book online is TERRIBLE. All of the tables and charts are messed up and nothing looks right. The book is also quite awful. It consistently contradicts itself and is horribly difficult to understand because of the confusing layout. Very unhappy.
