This chain is beautiful. I needed a longer chain for a handmade art pendant my grandson made. The one it came on was too short. Because of a disability securing a necklace is difficult for me. This works perfectly as I can slip it over my head. It also does not distract from the lovely art work on my pendant.

Decent chain, if you are wanting specifically gold it does wear off. Have only had this four months and already the gold color has worn off.

Item is exceptional value for price. It's 100% sterling silver. It's strong and looks nice. It will hold certain pendants. The size of your pendant thread area is something that you need to measure and see if seller can help you choose right clasp on necklace. At this price, they are amazing for any gifts on your list. They have varying lengths and chart to help you see the length of chain on human drawing, very helpful. It has a small black square that keep it from needing to be dumped in jewelry cleaner. It was packaged well, delivered on time. The yellow gold is over 100% sterling silver. I have not purchased it.

This is a great women's chain that's not too thick or too long. Silver rarely tanishes, unlike shiny plated metal over copper. This won't matter much with occasional use .If you wear a plated chain constantly, then the sivler will "wash"off and the copper begins to show on the neclklace. The chain i purchased was wonderfull. Looks great too. I could wear it everyday with no allrgies or other probems.Solid siver, actually its about 92% silver (925), and the rest is an undisclosed alloy.You can wear it all day without even knowing its's there. This chain is round, and not suitable for pendants, although you can always try attaching one yourself. In conclusion, this silver necklace is a great buy. One could wear the chain by itself, in which case it looks unobtrusive yet retains that curved necklace look that goes fabulous with anything you wear.

I probably should have looked at the little graph to the left of the product description. It is visible there. This is NOT a 1.1mm chain! (Minus 1 star) My digital calipers verifies that with readings from .84 to 1.0mm, depending on how you hold the chain. In a 3 or 4mm chain that wouldn't be much different, but this is 10% and significant to its strength and size. Pro: Looks good Cheap Con: Not as stated Packaging- (Minus 1 star) There is a small box, with a small black bag of some odd material. That holds a small zip-loc bag with the chain dropped in it. A good way to get it tangled (mine was not). Chains normally come on a card or long box. This may work, but I don't think she will get more than 6 months out it like the one it is replacing. Bought this because normal size necklaces do not fit me how I like. I bought the silver-24in one and it fits how it should and I like the way it lays on me. I'm not sure if it will tarnish or how sturdy it is, as i've only worn it a total of 3 days so far, but I do like it. Update-it does not tarnish, and it has held up to my 4yr old and 2yr old, still going strong! I will say that my hair does get caught in it, but I expect that with any necklace..strong, and at very fair price!!
