Remington SP390 Replacement Screen and Blades for Series 5 and 7 Foil Shavers, Silver

My screen had a tear and the blades had worn. This kit restored my razor to new. I had a bit of trouble with the screen holder replacement cover fitting on the clipper as well as the original did. I solved this by removing the screen from the replacement cover and putting the new screen in the factory cover. Perfect fit! The new blades popped in just as they should.

The shaver parts were in perfect order. HOWEVER, it took a MONTH to be shipped to the house! So if you need it sooner, better look elsewhere.

I bought my 3 head razor from Walmart and when it came time to replace the heads, they were nowhere to be found. walmart,target, nowhere I could find so I looked online and refused to buy them from walmart sence they sold me the shaver but don't carry the blades. stupid!! Amazon was the best price and shiped for free with the 5-6 day shiping but they still got to me in 2 days not counting the night I ordered them. I have had 2 norelco electric razors and both would pull beard and jam on my beard. I'm 58 and have always had a thick beard. This remington 3 header shaves easy,close as a razor and only cost 13.00 to replace where the norelco cost 36.00$ !!!! It is worth ordering them online and being happy. I advise having a backup set ready at hand because when these wear out they go in one day, and can hurt. Defenityly order these they work great and are remington blades. Don't buy the 2 head just because you can replace them from the store. these are better.

This is the third replacement head and cutters that I have installed on my Remington F5790 razor. Same part number as before (SP390), but this time the plastic housing for the screens is made of lighter plastic, and it has a trapezoid-shaped cutout on one side that wasn't present on the original or my first two replacements. Unfortunately, I didn't notice the design change before throwing out the old housing; if I still had the old one, I could have installed the new screens into the old sturdier housing. The new one fits, but it just feels less durable. Cutters and screens seem to work fine despite the lighter housing.

With prices of replacement shaving blades already on the high side and going up the was a great find and value. Here I get 3 units for the price of one. If properly maintained one should last at least a year. That is like shaving each day for pennies or a fraction of a penny. It leaves a nice, clean, smooth shave. You can't go wrong here.

This item is a good buy for the price. I saved money over buying it at the local store, and it works as expected. I recommend this product for any one that is in need for it. This replacement screen and blade set was purchased for Remington F5790 Shaver. +/- This is an OEM replacement part and fits as original and suffers the same quality materials and workmanship as the original. - The individual screens appear to be locked in the plastic housing. More below... Over the years I have replaced a number of these screens. The local Evil Mart used to carry them. However, they no longer carry neither the shaver nor the screens. They have the same price on line as here, if you can find it, and free delivery the next day to the local store is nice. However, they have a terrible website and after 15 minutes of searching I gave up and bought it from Amazon. - I used to replace the individual screens one by one as they failed. This is no longer possible since the screens are now locked in so I had to replace them as a set. I noticed that my shaver doesn’t hold its charge as long as it used to. Given that over the years I have paid more for replacement screens than I originally paid for the shaver, it no longer makes sense to throw more money at it. When the next item fails, it is going in trash. I have other Remington branded products and they all seem to suffer from poor design and low quality materials.

I have been very pleased with these cutters and my F5790 electric shaver, which is still running strong after a decade or so. Unfortunately, I confirmed in a phone call with Remington that they have discontinued this part, and the remaining supply is with third party vendors. When they're all gone, that's all she wrote. When I can't get parts anymore, I guess I'll be looking for a new shaver, and I'll probably be looking at another brand first.
