This particular filter is NOT a HEPA filter which is H13 or higher and atleast 99.97%. This filter can be referred to as “hepa-type” which causes lots of confusion for buyer because of this creative wording. The last two filters I had purchased from this listing seem to be from a bad batch and had a slight stale odor (I tested by running the myair without the filter and no stale odor). I have since ordered replacement filters from an offbrand on Amazon that are also H13 HEPA filter.

No, this is a 3-in-1 Replacement Filter for the MYair. This High Efficiency Filter captures 99.7% of microscopic particles as small as 0.3 microns and effectively captures unwanted allergens and odors including pollen, pet dander, dust, smoke, odors, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

I have used the Bissell My Air with this bissell brand filter for a few years and this does improve the air quality and my allergies. However since adding a beloved family dog, it is now necessary for me to upgrade to an air purifier that uses a true HEPA H13 filter with activated Charcoal.
