Great product! Car runs great now.
Needed this full kit for my M54 with 210k miles that was in desperate need of a refresh. The original o-rings were so hard and brittle, they broke instantly when I went to pry them off the pistons. But enough about my car, lol.This kit came with everything I needed for a full refresh, and all the parts fit like OEM. Didn’t run into a single issue with any piece of the kit. Very satisfied with the purchase.At $140, every high mileage E46 owner should do this refresh (it’s not even that bad of a job to do yourself with the right tools and a few hours). Thanks for helping me get this old E46 running like new again!

All VANOS need to be rebuilt by now.
This is a nice kit that includes everything needed except valve cover gasket. The job is tedious and time consuming but not too difficult. Watch 50sKid on YouTube to see what's involved.BMW designed VANOS with very tight tolerance. The old o-rings honestly didn't "look" all that bad except they have been harden by heat. The tiny gap around the o-rings was enough to cause VANOS not to function correctly. I couldn't believe the difference in performance after ther rebuild. The engine is smoother and responds faster with more power.

Quality kit for an excellent price
I finally got around to installing this over the weekend. The kit contains everything you could possibly need to get your VANOS running like new again. I didn't have the "rattle" that others did, but did have some vibration when idling that has significantly improved since install!A couple tips about install:Replace your valve cover gasket at the same time. You've already done the hard work and it's cheap.You MUST have a solid vice and impact wrench to open the VANOS and install the anti-rattle rings. I used a friend's garage specifically because of this.Get a bunch of dishes/cups to organize your bolts because you'll have a ton of them by the time you get here.A drill to install/remove bolts will save you a lot of time and effort.Torque the valve cover gasket bolts properly or you'll regret it.This took me ~6 hrs total as I ran into some difficult to remove bolts and one very stubborn solenoid connection.

Rings still rattle
Everything with the kit was great. Everything fit, did their jobs and I have no complaints there. However, the anti rattle rings did nothing, after the job the rattle is still there. So whichever part is supposed to stop the rattling didn’t do its job. Everything was installed the same way it came out. Marbles in my motor until I feel like going back into the vanos.

Fit perfectly had a small issue with shipping but the seller fixed it quickly

Flat o-rings will break
The very last flat o-ring broke, i6motorworks seller did not respond and I had to order another vanos o-ring kit from a different seller. Not sure if these kits are old stock or inferior materials, either way order the o-rings elsewhere or buy twice.

Great rebuild kit, everything you need
Used this to rebuild the Vanos on my 2003 BMW Z4 with the 3.0l engine. Includes more than you need with replacement bolts and more. Seals were relatively easy to replace and seat and had no issues with the rebuild.
