Wilderness cladding does not interfere with the product. The directions are not terribly helpful on placement-- so I used painters tape to try out where I wanted to put the molding. I checked it against the impact points of my wife's car when the kids swing open the doors ... and attached my molding there. Fits well. Very high quality. Perfect paint match. Appears very durable.

What can I say, this product is fantastic! Shipping was super fast; packaging was outstanding; the instructions were well written and also featured photos; and literally everything you need for installation is included except for some masking tape. The entire installation took less than 20 minutes per side and the color matching looks like they came on the car from the factory. In other words, perfect. If these ever get dinged up, which I’m sure they will… I will definitely buy another set from this manufacture! I am a very satisfied customer.

Using blue painters masking tape as advised in the instructional guide to mark the top line, I also put a few pieces of tape on the top edge of the bumper guards and taped them in place. Then I used the blue painters tape to define the bottom edge and the angled leading/trailing sides, and removed the temporarily placed bumper guards. By doing this, I had a "bleed guard" to contain the provided liquid deglosser from extending beyond the actual bumper guard edges and dulling the paint. The installation was a snap, and they look factory OEM installed. Very pleased with product and would be a repeat customer.

I am so glad I purchased these side moldings, the instructions were very easy to follow and only took about 45 minutes and that was taking my time. make sure to use the adhesive promoter provided, it goes on the door not the gray strips. The instructions give measurements where to install. So far no problems with them coming loose.

The quality of the side moldings is good and the paint finish is exceptional. The one observation I will make is the instructions are somewhat inadequate. The molding is supposed to go at a slight downward angle towards the front and they tell you to measure point A and point B then give you specific measurements down to a fraction of an inch, for instance, 4 5/8 on point B towards the back. The problem is that Point A and B are not exact locations and seem to be approximate points on a picture. Anyone who knows basic geometry realizes that the distance between A and B changing by a fraction of an inch will change the angle of the slope. They should tell you specifically what is the distance between A and B and even so that sort of helps because you s till do not have the distance between A and the front wheel well. The picture on the instructions does not look like my 2021 either, and it looks from an early Crosstrek year where details of the factory trim have changed so mine looks different from the picture. Aside from this, I would recommend this product but make sure you measure identically on both sides and stage the trims so you can visualize them before doing the final step of adhering them.

Long story short. I searched everywhere!! Found an example on a Subaru blog site, clicked the link and it brought me to this gem. We have a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek in Sunshine Orange, love the color but the matte black bumper guard does break up the color quite nicely and matches the rest of the trim. To be honest I had it installed profesionally. Subaru wouldn't do it...non OEM. Brought it to Maple Collision Cherry Hill, NJ. Suggested by Subaru. It tool less then 10 minutes. Looks Great!! I have also added a Curt roof rack and corner bumper guards.
