Super modern and looks GREAT!!
I bought a couple of these to go in my bathrooms where the standard white vent covers had already started to show rust around the edges at 6 years old - due to wet swiffer mop each week and it’s in a high humidity area if he house. EASY to install and to turn to open flow. They are QUIET too. They instantly added value to each bathroom as they are substantially thicker and glossy white and are a very nice alternative to the basic vent covers all builders ( most anyway ) use. These accent my porcelain tiled floors so well that I’m going to order 10 more to do the entire first floor. These ain’t yo mommas vent covers from the 20th century ; ) So modern. So chic. It will elevate the look of ANY room in your house.

Great Aesthetic
I had a supply vent call on the intersection of the acoustical ceiling grid I was putting up. I didn't want to shift the grid because of my lighting layout, and the duct was ran between joists with no ability to be relocated. After some minor duct shortening, this diffuser cleaned it up very nicely.

Takes up too much footprint
Bought a Buildsmart 4x10" floor register after seeing more than a hundred positive reviews. But because i wanted to replace all the floor registers in my home, I wanted to be sure i get the right one particularly when it costs close to $40 for one. So, I ordered a Wingshing 4x10” although it had only one review but the 5 star rating was enough to pique my curiosity. Also because it cost the same at $37 before tax.Bottom line: I’ve shared more details below about both items but this is my take: both appear well made & rather good quality and in the color I wanted. Both appeal to a modern minimalist look. But it turns out that the Buildsmart took up too much footprint for its size and as a floor register. The design also resulted in a noisier air flow and it fitted too tightly for the one opening on my floor and would not fit the other openings. You can see from one of the images the adhesive on the side was scratched.I’ll go with Wingshing to replace the other registers in my home for a more minimalist approach to design living - less is more, matte is also more understated than gloss. Plus, it’s less noisy compared to Buildsmart.Price: However I have to say that it’s way too pricey for floor registers to cost this much especially when they are mass produced in a factory.Images: Left & Top positions (wingshing). Right & Bottom positions (Buildsmart).Size: Even though my floor vent opening measured 4 1/4” and 10 1/8”, it was effectively narrower on the insides. Tip: when measuring, be sure to measure where it’s narrower and tighter especially if your hardwood opening is not symmetrical to the concrete opening under it.Finishing: Buildsmart came glossy for the frame as well as the diffuser tubes inside. Wingshing was matte. Both paint finishes appear good.Air circulation & noise: both allow for flexible air direction but Buildsmart was louder when the air was blowing hard.Fit: Wingshing appears like a looser fit for the opening on my floor when I compare the dimensions but it sits well enough. It does move a little when you deliberately tug at it but not too much perhaps because of the foam ring around the well under the frame. Buildsmart needed a bit of a push to fit into the opening but it sits flatter on the hardwood while Wingshing rises up about 1/8” above the hardwood.

So they look great however….
Look amazing however one step on to this vent cover and it will collapse. There are two very small welds that hold that middle white bar into place, step on it once and the thing is history. I hate to be negative because I really like these and think this company going in right direction however they need to be solid at this price point. Make the stronger with out increasing price point and you have a solid product. They do make a humming sound when the heater or AC kicks on but Not an annoying sound by any means just a slight buzzing sound. Really have to listen to hear it. I only noticed the sound when tv was off and my 5 kids were in bed! 🤣 now if the sole intention of these were meant for the wall vents then they are perfect but floor ehh not so much but look fantastic. Mine that broke is in the kitchen sorta off to side but I accidentally stepped on it and crack welds came right off as seen in pictures. I’m a 195lb guy so not like I’m 400lbs or anything. I have the white old school metal ones those are all once piece essentially and extremely strong so maybe 🤔 if this company made the white parts all one solid metal steel piece they would have a solid product. Till then I’d only use for the wall vents only. If not in a place people will step on them then go ahead buy for floor too just don’t step on it.
