Good product, did buy again.
The lamp looks great in my living room right on the carpet floor. I was an it unsure at first how stable it would be on a carpet. It doesn't wobble when I walk around it. It wobbles a bit when I bump it but I'd say it needs a fair amount of force for it to wall over. If my cat crashed into it, it wouldn't fall over. If my golden retriever dog crashed into it, yes it would fall over. You could put a plant or something on the base of it for extra stability. The light is pretty nice. I put a 120 watt light bulb in there and with the paper sides, it probably provides as much light as a 40-60 watt bulb would. Not necessarily a bad thing, the light looks sweet going up and out the way it does.Assembly. It wasn't bad at all, just follow directions to the letter. When screwing on the wood legs for each platform, if there is any wobble whatsoever, then try taking the screw out, turning it around and try again. I managed to get all wood legs on with no wobble. And make sure not to overtighten the wood legs. I put them somewhere between hand snug and tight and the fit was good.I was pleased enough with this lamp to have purchased a second lamp for my living room.

The good and the OK.
The lamp was easy to assemble and pretty lightweight so it's easy to move. It serves its purpose pretty well. The only "issues" you may have with it are the following: with it being lightweight and fairly top heavy you may want to put a rather heavy object on the bottom shelf like a decorative rock or similar to avoid it getting knocked over by pets or reckless kids. The lampshade is very good at blocking light in my opinion a little too good but I compensate for that by using a 150 watt equivalent energy efficient bulb and it lights a small bedroom just fine. And lastly the wingnut to secure the bulb socket just detracts from the aesthetics a little bit. Otherwise it works well serves its purpose if I had need of another light would purchase again.

Perfect design for room.
For the price - this lamp is great. I received an email from the company asking me to rate it here and give some feedback.1. I would make the shelves thicker - maybe twice as thick. It would really enhance the appearance of the lamp. Charge a little extra.2. Instead of a chain pull - I would add the type of switch on the cord on the floor that you step on. The chain cord cheapens it somehow in my opinion.3. Make the instructions a little bit easier to read. I figured it out but at first I was a bit confused. I gave up trying to figure them out and went with what I thought was right and with the help of the instructions it turned out perfect. The lamp looks really good from afar - really good. When you get right up to it you can see that it's not made from the best of materials. But you get what you pay for and I'm accustomed to pay 3x the amount for a lamp.I bought this lamp for a spare room that has black wooden furniture in it - shelving, desk, end tables - all of high quality materials. The lamp design and color are a perfect fit/match. It blends in well.I'll even say that I'm considering buying a second lamp for the same room I like how well it looks.

Not As Good As Price
Good looking lamp but not as good as price.. I was impressed by their Circle LED desk lamp but this one is just ok compared to other one.Overall it's fine. Build quality is light. It's wood but very light weight.Assembly is also fine - You can do it by your own.

I'm very disappointed in this product
I'm very disappointed in this product. I came damaged with scratches on the sides. It leans when it stands and is low quality overall. I would return it because it is not worth the price at all, especially since it came damaged. I would return it, but I only noticed the scratches when I was halfway done putting it together and it would take too much effort to take it apart and repackage it and return it to amazon. This lamp is awful and not worth the effort of putting together. If you do decide to order this lamp check the peaces for damage before starting to put it together, but I do not recommend purchasing it!

Love the lamps
Love the lamps, and they fit perfectly in the space where we put them, both in design and function. I have a few comments. Once constructed, each of them leaned noticeably from the vertical, one far worse than the other. Anyone putting these together should get a level and test balance at each step of assembly and take appropriate leveling action. I think the number of turns given to each level's "leg" may be a way to adjust and compensate, but didn't test that theory since I didn't discover the problem until they were both assembled and was too lazy to take them back apart and start again using this theory. I decided to adjust them once at the bottom using felt pads (used to prevent scuffing under chair legs) which did an adequate though not a perfect job. Also, in retrospect, I should have bought the dark brown color version - these are in the foyer on either side of the front door, and dark brown would have been a better transition choice between the dark browns of the furniture in two rooms on either side of the foyer. Also, the cord clips provided did not adequately prevent the unsightly cords from being visible the entire length of the stand. More clips should have been included (maybe 6, which was double the three that were included). I ended up going to the hardware store and buying black plumbers/masking tape and and taping thee entire length of the cord neatly to the back of a leg facing the wall. Problem solved, but added work and expense.

Instructions were easy enough. While building it I thought the materials seemed pretty cheap, and then one piece split immediately as I screwed it in. I thought about returning it, but I settled on some DIY treatment. It looks fine, with a tiny wobble.Despite it being on sale for ~$60, this felt like it should've been $10-$15. Chances are it won't make it to my next move, so I won't be buying this again.
