This is a great little salad shredder. Never had one before, was worried what kind of blades these are. They are plastic and don't cut your fingers. When using this you just kind of stomp down on the salad over and over, it does a great job and is easy to clean.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS, I now have a bad wrist, had surgery and still so sore. You can use either hand, holding with all y our fingers and going back and forth, and it really really works so well, my lettuce was done in 3minutes. I make a salad alot and my husband loves them too. I also used it to chop hard boiled eggs, shredded carrots, love it. I have a big salad maker clear bowl with the black handle you pump up and down. I can use this directly in this large bowl and no problem, did not scratch it at all. Fast ship, well pkgd.

My wife absolutely loves this (and can't keep from mentioning it each time she uses it). It really does cut up the salad nicely in a bowl. She often grabs some Romain leaves along with other items including a deli chicken slice, puts it all in a small stainless-steel bowl, then goes to town. Perfect lunch salad.

I was very excited to get this to help me chop my every day salads in a small salad bowel BUT, this is NOT for a small individual bowel. I say this because it ejects the lettuce out of the bowel with each chop. Would work great in a very large (family size) bowel. You do have to apply much pressure to it in order to get the chopping action. I thought mine was broke until my husband showed me that I wasn't putting enough muscle into it. I'm keeping it for when I do make large family salads but am disappointed won't get to use for the small stuff I make every day.

Works great to chop salads, without a lot of effort. I highly recommend. That being said, I would not put it in the dishwasher. I suggest washing by hand.

I hated eating salads before discovering Subway's chopped salads, so rather than pay $10 to always have one, I bought this tool instead. No regrets whatsoever! This tool chops anything you would want in a salad (greens, chicken, steak, cucumbers, peppers, etc) flawlessly. Now I'm eating healthy chopped salads all the time! I would definitely recommend this tool to anyone who likes chopped salads!
