Dove Dry Shampoo Spray, Volume & Fullness, Absorbs Oil to Refresh Hair Without Washing, 5 oz (2-Pack)

I've been using this Volume & Fullness Dry Shampoo for a couple of weeks now, and overall, it's a solid product—especially if you're looking to refresh your roots and give your hair a lift between washes. What I like: Noticeable volume: This dry shampoo actually delivers on the volume promise. After a few sprays at the roots and a quick massage, my hair feels lighter and looks visibly fuller—almost like I just blow-dried it. Refreshes well: It does a good job absorbing oil and extending the life of a blowout or style by a day or two. Light scent: The fragrance is clean and not overpowering, which I appreciate. No heavy white cast (if used properly): I have medium brown hair, and as long as I spray from a distance and brush it through, I don’t get much residue. What could be better: Build-up after a couple of uses: Like many dry shampoos, this one can start to feel a little gritty or stiff if you use it several days in a row without washing. Volume doesn’t last all day: The initial lift is great, but by the end of the day, some of that fullness fades—though a quick fluff can help.

Great dry shampoo, but it sprays out white like baby powder. It smells fresh and clean. The price was great as well. However, if you have dark colored hair, then this is not the brand for you. I have brown hair with purple highlights. When I sprayed the shampoo in my hair, it turned all of the color to white. I suddenly looked like an old women. 😄 I was able to brush most of it out, and it made my hair look clean, but I did not want to use it again. I wore my hair up that day. Since it is a great product for light hair, I gave this dry shampoo to a friend with blonde hair, and she uses it all of the time. As for me, I had to find another brand for my dark brown hair.

I have long blonde hair that has been recently damaged by high-chlorine/hard water from my shower. My goal was to not wash my hair everyday and go to only 1-2 washes per week - which is why I tried this dry shampoo. I've tried other brands like Batisee, Not Your Mothers, Kristen Ess, Trader Joes, but never really found one that I loved. This one isn't horrible but I wouldn't say it's the best either. It still manages to leave a white cast on my blonde hair that's difficult to get out with hand massage or brushing. When spraying my hair, the can doesn't leave my room in a cloud of dry shampoo spray which is nice. I rarely cough when I'm applying it. It gives my hair a little bit of volume but nothing crazy. Smell is nice and not overpowering.

My heart gets oily fast and this stuff works great! It smells pretty good too. It’s super cheap for the size, I was impressed with the larger size can. I also use it all over when I curl my hair to hold the curl; I have very fine hair so curls fall out fast. The extra texture helps a lot.

I have thick, dark brown hair, and this is the best dry shampoo I’ve ever used. I’m able to wash my hair every 5-7 days compared to every 2-3 days with other dry shampoo options. It’s also very easy to massage into my scalp to fully hide any white powdery residue that often shows up on dark hair from other brands.

So I want to start this off by saying I was really excited for this one. The smell is nice (if you like floral sweet smells) I can smell it on my hair even the next day, it’s like a natural perfume! I got this one because it’s supposed to be light weight like the Kroger brand dry shampoo (my ABSOLUTE favorite) and not as residue-y as Batiste dry shampoo (my least favorite). I also thought the volume bump would be nice for days where it’s greasy *and* flat! But, If you have an oily scalp with sensitive skin, this is not for you. Because it does leave residue (not as much as Batiste but more than Kroger) it interacts with my oily scalp funny and causes me to be itchy. And yes, I did it as directed, and yes I had spread it around! I got it for camping (bears and bees are near lol) so I might not take it because the scent is quite strong and lingers. I also have a feeling that in direct sun my scalp will even be more itchy. I also have a bit of sensory issues so if the slight itchiness doesn’t bother you, then yay! As for the volume, it adds a bit more texture to your hair but that’s it. Dry shampoo naturally acts as a volumizer for me so this doesn’t appear much different, it’s almost like I added a little hair spray to the dry shampoo-even the texture. It also leaves that white cast that so many do. I rate it a three because it does the job really well of a dry shampoo (where some others don’t) but it is not one I would actively reach to, just because of my personal scalp needs!

One of my favorite daily hair products. I have thick hair and it has always gotten oily quickly. This products helps me keep it looking fresh between showers. It also helps keep it healthy since I don’t have to wash it as often. It does leave a white cast but if you follow the directions and massage it in after spraying, it goes away. I have black hair and you can’t tell I used it. I have purchased this product many times :)
