Love this little guy!
I grew up a Tamagotchi kid but never tried Digimon until recently. What finally pushed me over the edge was a nostalgic deep-dive video by Billiam (shoutout to him for the great content). I had no idea how cool and in-depth these little devices were compared to the pets I grew up with. This glow-in-the-dark version is not only a fun throwback but a solid intro to the world of Digimon virtual pets. The training and battle mechanics are simple but surprisingly addictive. I’ve already raised a couple different Digimon and love how they evolve depending on how well you take care of them. It’s super portable, the screen is sharp enough to get the job done, and yes—it really does glow in the dark (the shell, not the screen). I haven’t linked it to another device yet, but I’m already considering picking up a second one just to try the battle feature. My only tiny gripe is that I wish the back of the shell was flat so it could sit on a desk or nightstand more easily. It’s a minor thing, but worth noting. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a mix of nostalgia and low-maintenance fun. Whether you're revisiting childhood or just discovering Digimon for the first time—this little guy is worth it.

Blast from the past
Lots of fun. Worth it for the price. Long battery life. Definitely brought me a whole lot of nostalgia.

For Old Fans & New
Excellent if you're an old fan of the old tamagotchi/digmon pets, or even if only getting into it now after the success of Time Stranger and the new anime. Less harsh than the old vpets which required a bit more work to keep alive, which is especially good considering some of us who want these for the nostalgia factor don't have as much time to pay as much attention due to real life constraints. This is one of the most affordable of the digimon vpets out right now, and it has the added niche of being a glow in the dark toy so both are nice bonuses for those just getting into these or just being a collector. Only issue may be that everything is not to well explained from the box, so might need a bit more searching to get the most out of these. Outside of that, these are excellent quality and should be able to enjoyed by anyone, kids or nostalgic adult.

Nostalgic item
It is made of plastic but it is very solid and enjoyable to use. It brought me back to my childhood days when I used to play with my brother.

Retro digimon with new age appeal
When i was a kid, we had these little digimon attached to our backpacks. Ohhhh the horror when our pets died. This is the same game with the same appeal. Digimon went one step farther than otherz in the fact you could have your digimon fight others when they grew up. I bought five for christmas gifts, my son and his cousins. They all loved them! However, the screen was a bit dark and seemed to fade in certain lights. Good battery life, but no off switch i could discern (old ones had no off switch either that i rememeber) three buttons so easy to figure out and play. Good for your nostaligia or your childrens first pet.

My favourite digipet!
I absolutely love this digivice! It is neat that you don't NEED a 2nd device to battle the digimon, single or tag team. Very thoughtful. The display is pretty clear, though at some angles choosing from the menu can be a little hard. I love that the digimon can be put down for a 3 hour nap without penalty (unless evolving more slowly is a problem for some reason, but I don't mind). Being able to train two pets at a time is really fun, and they can even train-battle each other! The pets also seem to be able to withstand a higher degree of 'neglect' than some of the digital pets in my collection; their needs seem to drain pretty slowly, and the illness from not cleaning up their poop fast enough seems like it would take quite a long time to damage them beyond repair. The unit is lightweight and the glow is really nice, even if it doesn't last very long really. I like the clip it has to attach it to things. I haven't had a problem with the battery life so far, and I'm still using the battery it came with. It is also one of the least noisy digital pets, and goes into kind of a blank, screen-saver mode, which I figure also extends battery life. Maybe it would be nice if it made a few more alerts, like if their food has drained completely, or if they get sick, but really being so quiet makes it easy to unobtrusively take around with me. I only wish the buttons were a little bigger, or a little higher profile to make them easier to press vigorously, which is the majority of the training and battling action.

I love the glow in the dark!
So I'm a tamagotchi/vpet enthusiast, and an adult, so keep this in mind. I bought this after hearing that the new anniversary edition would allow you to have two pets at once (a rare feature in vpets!) and battle them together. For the very cheap price, I HAD to try it out. This thing has the perfect mixture of the lovable classic features blended with some fresh new features that liven up the reboot. If you had one of these as a child, you will still enjoy this now, as it reigns true to its roots with a little extra oomph that you wished you had 20 years ago. As far as care needs, it's not a highly demanding pet, which I enjoy. The digimon can withstand a pretty large amount of neglect before passing away, compared to tamagotchi that will often die at the drop of a hat. You can also train them at your leisure, no need to be concerned about a time limit. Overall, it's a very enjoyable toy especially if you have the nostalgia of the original as a kid. I'm not sure that today's children would be impressed though, as they have been immersed in high tech technology from a young age and these pixel art pets may look stone age to them. Oh but one last thing, glowing in the dark? Always a super fun feature in my opinion. I thoroughly enjoy this toy and I hope this review has been helpful to you.

In love with this device. The price for the amount of content is a steal. Best Digivice ever released.
