UPDATE 3/25/22: Editing my review from 3 stars to 5 ❤️ I ordered the Smoothies set and I AM IN LOVE! It does not need a base color! It is just as amazing as the pictures show. I’ve added more pictures to my review, used the pink one first with the same magnet technique that I mentioned below. I ordered the galaxy set and I’m pretty happy with it except for a few things. Most importantly, the color is NOT as vibrant as pictured. Anyways - This product was mostly easy to use and even came with black gel polish to go underneath. It comes with directions that lacked any helpful tips on how to use the magnet for different effects so search for one on YouTube. Here are my nails in the sun vs shade just to show how it turned out. I used one black coat, two coats of the bluegreen shade on all fingers PLUS a coat of the red shade on my middle finger and thumb. I used the circle magnet on opposite corners of each nail for this swirl effect, make sure to cure immediately after each coat to keep effect. It came out nice, but I was disappointed with the pigment. The picture makes it seem MUCH more vibrant, but it really is not as colorful as advertised. Also, I couldn’t figure out a good way to use the large magnet. Every time I tried it, it took away almost ALL of the color and left a mostly black nail except for a sheer thin line where I held it over. That’s when I looked up how to videos online and gave up on that end of the magnet, it just wasn’t working for me. So I decided to use the small circle magnet on opposite corners, to push the color towards the middle in a pretty swirly line.

This gel polish delivers a beautiful cat-eye effect that shifts in the light and adds a really unique touch to any manicure. The formula goes on smoothly, and with the right magnet, the design is easy to manipulate. The colors are vibrant and look even better in person than in photos. It cured well under a UV lamp and lasted over a week without chipping. Definitely a fun addition for anyone who enjoys doing their own nails and wants something a little different.

Works perfectly! The colors are unique and Soo pretty! It comes with a black base coat which makes the colors pop so beautifully. I got curious and tried white, blue and red as a base coat, and the results were not too bad! I did have to put 3 coats on the white base coat because the magnetic polish is sheer, but still looked great! On my long nails I put glossy top coat and they look stunning! On my short nails I put a matte top coat and it gave it a sort of velvet look which I love! It does have a weird metallic smell but Great product over all. Love it! Excuse my short nails, I cut my acrylic short because I'm a guitar player lol

Since I just started doing nail when the Pandemic hit, I'm new to the nail world. I'm always looking for ways to do easy designs (I'm artist in theory, but not in execution). Cat Eye nails have been around a while from what I'm finding out. However, they are new to me. So, I ordered this set. I really like the colors. Some are pretty sheer and look better with a solid darker gel polish as a base. There's a pretty good instruction card (in color & lightly laminated). The magnet is basic but it's good for a beginner. These polishes look good without using the magnet. Shimmery, light glitter look. Good value for the money.

These are absolutely beautiful colors! Love that they don't need a black base coat. I haven't had good luck with magnetic polish but these worked and look gorgeous.

Well I had high hopes for this polish, the colors on the bottle are darker than the actual polish. The one that should be dark red is actually more of light pink color. Have to put on a dark base color if you want to see these colors really come out, I do like the cat eye effect they make tho it was very pretty. Polish came off within a day or two. Maybe I did something wrong, but I can’t seem to get uv polish to stay on even with a really good base coat and top coat.

I’m really liking this cat-eye gel so far. I think it’s unique because most cat-eye only looks good over black or other dark colors but this actually looks better over lighter colors. I tested over both black and white, which is shown in one of my pics, and you can see that the colors didn’t really show with the black base. Over black they all kind of looked like a general silver color, except maybe the green and purple were slightly noticeable. This cat-eye won’t give you the Aurora Borealis effect, it’s more for the Velvet look that’s popular right now. Another review recommended that these work best over a similar color sheer or jelly base, and I definitely agree with that. My other pic is the tests that I did where I really liked how they turned out. From the top: -Champagne cat-eye over opaque apricot color -Champagne cat-eye over pink/peach jelly color -Purple cat-eye over opaque lilac color -Pink cat-eye over rose jelly color -Lilac cat-eye over silver-white fine glitter color The polish reacts very easily to the magnet so go slow, you don’t have to put the magnet super close to get it to move like you do with some cat-eye gels. Overall, I definitely recommend this, it’s easy to work with and a unique option to add to your gel polish collection.

I just don't understand, I painted my nails and this stuff is so oily and it runs into my nail cracks and over them, also you have to put a lot on just to see the crystals, it took me forever to figure out how the magnet works and also this stuff never dries. So I cleaned off my nails and put each color on a piece of paper over night and it's still WET!!!!! THIS STUFF DOESNT WORK! VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Love these colors

I purchased this as I wanted to create a soft metallic nail look that I had seen on Instagram. These are perfect for that effect and the magnet that comes with it is very strong and high quality. I had purchased cat eye polishes before and the magnet was very weak and didnt give me the effect that I liked. I assumed that it was my inexperience with the product but realized that it was the magnet! I used this magnet on other cat eye polishes that I already own and I am so happy with it. Highly recommend!

Color not as bright as in the picture. But works as they should and gives a great effekt. Love them!
