Very good quality but changed mind on the pickup setup

I haven’t had a chance to start my build but it appears to be cut well.

Pay attention to all the reviews that mention issues with neck pocket,, theres is still an issue I moved bridge as far forward as the route would allow, and put saddles as far fwd as they would go and it is still 10mm off,/away from the intonation point for 25.5” scale. The actual issue is that the pickup route and bridge/trem pocket is too far back,, the neck pocket size is standard , 16th fret meets the body, but the fix is routing the neck pocket 10mm towards the bridge.

I build Van Halen replicas and due to the cost of just about everything these days, I decided to try one of these bodies. It's good quality overall but I had to reroute the neck pocket closer towards the pickup cavity by a half inch for it to be 25 1/2 inch scale. You will also need to drill the holes to mount the neck and the bridge. I bought a template for mounting a Floyd Rose. It will also need a lot of sanding.

I am totally delighted with this body. I added an FUTONE bridge (Floyd Rose upgrade). it's a player! Not just good looking! Nice resonance. Minwax Tung oil finish just make this mahogany look so tasty! With Seymour Duncan Hot Rodded Humbuckers, it sings. Now I either learn to play it or sell it. The cavity cover plates took some thinking and some arts and crafts, but they called it a DIY, right? I have a second body that i am waiting to start on for a friend.

This body was excellent and didn't require a lot of finish work. Excellent quality and affordable.

This is ok but the back cover seems impossible to find. Check the cavity shape before you get one if these.

The mahogany wood is beautiful and the body is well-crafted. Perfect for my DIY project.
