Great price for this iron !
Fantastic price for this excellent iron. Bought it as it is lighter weight than many more expensive generator irons. Does the job perfectly.

User-friendly cordless operation
A good steam iron. The base is light, and is attached to the iron for use in corded mode. But there is a switch on the side that can release the iron for cordless use. Cordless use is very convenient, and the iron keeps hot for long enough to iron a shirt sleeve or back for example. A very good thing is that the iron then heats up again very quickly when it is replaced on the base. A disadvantage is that the switch is biassed towards being attached, and spontaneously flips back quite often, so that you have to move it back to the release position. That's very easy to do, but I have overcome this by finding a small piece of wood that keeps the switch in the release position. I am very pleased with this iron.

Plate not non-stick!
Lasted 3 months before the plate caught black marks from a pair of school uniform trousers. Now going to the bin.The iron itself is a compromise. I found out the stand is not “intuitive” during use, as was with my old cordless iron. I used to be placing my previous Morphy Richards upright without looking at it - both pieces just fitted well. With the Swan design, I had to make adjustments each and every time when putting the iron back on the stand to charge.Eye catchy outlook for sure but unsuspected design issues made ironing a burden for me. I’m actually relieved I’m done with the Swan. Ordering Tefal cordless after returning 2 faulty Morphy Richards. Looks like producing a decent iron is nowadays greatly challenging task for established makers.

Great value for money steam generator.
Just bought this a couple of weeks ago. So far so good. This was a third of the price of my previous Morphy Richard’s steam generator. Paid full price of £59.99. Works well & is so much lighter in weight. Does leave a few water drops on clothes but these dry quickly. Heats up quickly & very easy to fill. Does the job it is designed for very well so far.

Takes a bit of getting used to.
Good value for money, has both the corded and cordless options. When corded it is easy to use, and is continuously charging. As a cordless iron it can be a bit tricky to unlock. Gliding is smooth, temperature control easy to manage.

Its been shorting my electricity in the house it leaks so dangerous!
has always leaked when using, doesn't stay hot long continually have to recharge! Base too light and flimsy. Wish I registered it for the 2 year guarantee :-( it has shorted all the sockets in y house twice in two days its dangerous as water is leaking from the bottom and must be getting into the charging base! Only bought in Jan 24 would not expect it to be useless after such a short time! Will not be buying another Swan product :-( I had a microwave by Swan that rusted in 6 months defo giving them a wide berth!
