Like five generations of his forebears, hard-bitten Montana ranch patriarch John Dutton (Kevin Costner) has ridden herd on America's largest contiguous spread... but between his declining health, his emotional gulf with his willful kids, and ever dicier border dustups with the government, developers, and the neighboring reservation, the trail's never been harder. Taylor Sheridan's hit contemporary western from Paramount Network co-stars Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Kelsey Asbille, Cole Hauser.10 episodes on 4 discs. 7 1/4 hrs. Widescreen; Soundtrack: English. Review: Love it great series! - Great series! Review: The Cast is Outstanding! - Love this series so far. New season 4 is in production. Kevin Costner has another great project. Kevin Costner plays John Dutton, head of the family and he knocks it out of the park. So far this has been the most explosive season. Kelly Reilly is electrifying as Beth Dutton. This is a show about holding on to the Dutton farm and all those who try to take it from them. A promise John Dutton made to his deceased father to hold the land is a promise to be kept at all costs. There's the Indian nation who wants the Dutton Ranch and all it's land back for their people. They feel the land is rightfully theirs and modern day chief who's educated, smart, and resourceful played by Gil Birmingham (known for his role on the Twilight series). The Dutton's family members are flawed by the loss of their mother when the children were very young. The siblings family dynamics come into play throughout the series so far and season 3 answers some of the questions about those dynamics. Then there's the relationship between the family and Rip Wheeler as the head foreman. Rip is loyal to John Dutton and the family and his complicated relationship with daughter Beth Dutton. This is a show not to be miss and never will disappoint.

The DVDs play all the way through
Great for binge watching. Good story line and extras. Would not have thought to mention the DVDs play all the way through without freezing/skipping until I got Season 4. It freezes 2-3 times per episode and there are 15 episodes in that package. So, season 3 is great. The extras are worth watching afterward. We'll worth the price, especially without the aggravation of the Season 4 set I got.

Keeps you glued to the screen
I haven't been a Kevin Costner fan. I never liked or disliked him, but I thought he did good in many earlier films. I also thought he was well-cast in The Company Men, Superman (as the adopted father of Superman), and Jack Ryan Recruit. In those roles he was a sort of backyard character and I thought he did well in those roles for a big name actor like him. But I love Costner in Yellowstone! It's a role made for him. John Dutton is the largest ranch owner in America. But his family is falling apart. His daughter is full of hate, one of his son has a marriage that's on the brink of falling apart. And another son has a secret that may tear him apart. Considering Dutton's ranch is trying to be taken from under his nose by a slick-educated Native American, it's all he can do to keep his sanity. Now he's got to deal with a corporation that have their sights set on Dutton's ranch, and it's all he can do to stay a law-abiding citizen to keep his home intact. But playing by the rules, following the letter of the law, and being nice is not how John Dutton got where he is today, and everyone is going to learn in America, no one takes another man's land. My wife and I bought seasons 1,2, and 3 and watched them back to back. We were not disappointed. Can't wait for season 4. This series is a modern western. Sort of like Longmire, except more drama and dark. There's humor in it too, and you won't be able to stop watching once you start.

Terrific show just love the characters and the story has so many twists and turns it's like the Duttons have so many enemies, hard to know who is your friend. Gosh now have to wait until June for S4.

Package arrived appropriately package brand new condition. Excellent series. Well written, casting incredible. The location scenery breathtaking. Not your typical cowboy story. Modern day series of a generational home/ranch. Family fighting to maintain their ranch/lifestyle that’s has been in their family for over a hundred years. The story line is riveting,, Kevin Costner is brilliant, as is the rest of the cast. Can’t wait until season four is released.

Esta series es sin igual en mostrar las relaciones buenas y malas dentro de una familia que vive en un rancho maravilloso en Montana. Los secretos del pasado llegan a ser las acciones del presente.
