Great System
Had an HP 17 notebook since 2015 (4GB RAM, AMD A6 APU, Integrated GPU) & some minor issues started to crop up with it over time (battery, wifi card issues, etc.) & also just been wanting a stronger system in general for quite a while now. So I decided to give this one a shot since it looks nice & was pretty similar when it came to design. I gotta say that so far this system has been a great upgrade from my previous system. At the time of writing this review it's been exactly a month since I've gotten this system & so far everything is still buttery smooth with no issues whatsoever. It's also run everything that I've thrown at it so far (from Steam games to heavier emulators) with ease & temps aren't bad at all (though I do normally use a USB cooling pad with every system I've owned including this one). The keyboard is also really nice & the speakers sound nice & clear with the B&O enhancements on. Overall it's a great system & hoping it lasts for a long time.

Amazing gaming and all purpose laptop
Extremely good Pepe Forman was for what you pay. Can play virtually all games at medium settings. It’s also extremely upgradable. One of the first upgrades you should get should be a RAM upgrade. This will allow you to listen to music and multitask while you game. The SSD is a good size but can also be upgraded if you need it. The CPU is extremely powerful and efficient. The keyboard feels amazing. The webcam is a lot better than I expected. This is probably the best entry level gaming laptop out there. If you are on a budget, you should get this.

Decent, most top keys dont work though.
Now I’m no computer nerd so i dont know how good this is compared to others, but it works very well with the games i play, never had any lag. One problem: 80% of the top keys dont work. not sure if this was just for me or if others had it aswell. esc works, prt screen works sometimes, and if i remember correctly, everything to the right of prt screen works aswell, lets hope you dont need to use the arrow keys too much (like i do) because they’re the weird kind, they work just fine but up and down are half a button size a squished together

Excellent
Thus far after a few weeks of use, this laptop lives up to and surpasses my expectations. If you are interested in a gaming laptop, this one will work with most current generation games and has the potential to continue playing some future games. If you are looking for something that will do the basics of everyday office or school work, this will do it, but it will definitely be overkill and probably more than you should spend for something basic for those needs. Pros: 1. Fast processing 2. Doesn't seem to get too hot from extended play IF you properly elevate it, make sure that the vents are not blocked or the screen isn't angled too far back. 3. Graphics detail surpasses my standard Xbox One. 4. Battery life for normal usage lasts about 6 hours or so, without any adjustments to settings. With video, ultra settings, it's closer to 3 hours. (To get the claimed 12 hours you'll have to turn settings WAY down towards "green mode" which includes turning your screen brightness down.) Cons: 1. Low storage space if you plan on gaming on it. (I happened to have a spare external hard drive that used to be used with my Xbox One that I was able to use for games. If you aren't aware, modern games can be anywhere from about 20 gigabytes to 100 gigabytes, not counting some outliers like the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare that is nearly 200 gigabytes. So I'd highly recommend an external hard-drive if you have one, or dish out the extra money for a larger built-in hard-drive.) 2. No DVD drive on this laptop. This is minor, as it doesn't affect me too much these days since much of my TV/movie collection is digital now, but some things are not streamed yet. 3. The exhaust vent and the screen interfere with one another if the screen is angled too far back. Make sure that you have the laptop elevated correctly and that the screen is not angled too far backwards or it may overheat and shut off after about 20-30 minutes of use while gaming. In some cases, to try troubleshooting this when it first started I attached an HDMI cable to my Smart-TV and kept the lid mostly shut and had no problems with overheating. The air-intake is on the bottom of the laptop, near the back where the exhaust vents are. Make sure whatever platform you set this up to game from does not cover these vents or you will have the same issue as mentioned above. Update 8/24/20: Changed information regarding battery life with no accommodations to settings with standard use: from 4 hours to 6 and edited the part about not getting too hot in the 2nd Pro which is related to the added 3rd Con. Added a 3rd Con about vent placement and the lid. (I will update the review after some extended time of use.)

Excellent machine for a value price!
This laptop is fantastic! We bought this specifically for playing games and also doing some virtual education tasks and it has certainly delivered. The graphics are great and the computer has no problem playing the games we play. Excellent gaming machine for a value price!

It’s a fantastic option
I was originally going to give this a 4 star because when it came in it kept freezing for a couple seconds but after using for a week, it went away. This is a nice gaming laptop that can run many games without any issues like GTA

Doesn’t exist
Do not buy. They don’t make this one anymore and will send you a different one instead of taking down this item

It's one of the best deals
This laptop is far faster than I could have anticipated, considering the price. I do, however, prefer 16GB of RAM and as such have purchased another matching stick of 8GB, but I cannot knock a star off for that as this is such a good deal and I'm still coming out ahead, considering the specs of this beast.
