I am a home health occupational therapist and have to check my patient's temperature every time I make a visit. The company I work for provides the traditional ones that goes into the mouth (plastic sleeves are put on them). Some of my other co-workers bought their own forehead thermometers. The ones they use look like guns (to me). I never liked the idea of pointing something that looks like a gun at someone. When I came across this one I felt that it would be perfect. Most of my patients say it looks like a remote, and it does, lol. When it arrived I was impressed with it's sleek design. It was easy to use and has a fast response time. I like that it has an automatic turn off feature. I get a lot of questions about it. The company that I work for hired an assistant for me (called a COTA) and when she saw mine, she ordered one on the spot. Ive been using this since February (It is now August) and it is still going on the same batteries. I am very happy with this thermometer. I recommend

The temp was perfect. I got this temperature taking because that is what was used in the hospital when my Mother in law was in. A lot of the nurses were using it.

This runs about 1.5 degrees cooler than our in-ear thermometer, so you have to do some mental calculations to get the right answer. That seems to be the norm and doesn’t particularly bother us, although I might print a little label to remind us of that detail. We got this thermometer just in time for our bouts with Covid—it was nice to be able to take my husband’s temp without waking him. We also took it cross-country on vacation. It didn’t take up as much space as our in-ear thermometer does and didn’t need a pkg of little ear pieces, so that was convenient. This won’t replace our primary thermometer, but it’s a nice second.

Great Thermometer.

I have tried so many thermometers I have a bin full of them and this is the best one! I'm a visiting nurse and I love this thermometer! This one actually works! Easy to use, fast results in seconds, accurate even with sweaty heads and affordable! Sanitary if you go into many different homes. No fumbling trying to get the right spot. Just press the button, point at forehead and press again. Long battery life. Barely have to change batteries. My patients love when I take their temperature. I joke with them and say I am your nurse on the Sickbay let me scan you. Some of my patients bought their own they love it! I have repurchased this many times as I give it away to some of my people.

Works great. Super easy to use and very small & lightweight. And it's easy to get into the battery department. I've had a Smartglow Exergen Temporal Scanner for 2 years but it is impossible to change the batteries. I realized that I'd better get another scanner before those batteries expired. I like my new scanner much better in every way than I did the Exergen.

Not the most accurate thermometer but better than not using one. Typically, it doesn’t detect a fever unless it’s above 100. I had 2 of these thermometers and they went into Celsius mode or showed everyone’s temperatures was hypothermic after 2 years of gentle use at home.
