Works great. My gas cans would pulse when pouring from the air not being able to get in the can. Now, they pour wonderfully. Nice and smooth. I had tried some plastic ones but they just broke and fell apart. These brass ones are great, no leaks, easy to install. I originally purchased them for just one of my cans, but it worked so well I went ahead and added them to all of my cans.

These are exactly as described and came with the tools needed to install them. They fit perfectly on my 20 liter gas and diesel containers. They are excellent quality and do exactly what you want... allow air in properly while you're pouring fuel out! Would buy again if I need more.

We all know the struggle of modern day gas cans with all of their safety features. The slow filling process is matched only by the inconvenient safety spouts. This vent can design helps solve some of that problem. I have a diesel heater I use in the garage during the winter. Whenever I refill it, even after replacing the spout with a non safety design, I found it still takes forever because air can't get back into the can. After dealing with that for several months I finally caved and bought this vent cap. Install was straight forward, although I'd recommend a lubricant so you don't damage the seals as you install. I tipped the cans over and found after install there were no leaks. Simple and effective design. Using my gas cans after the vent cap install is night and day of a difference. I can fill the heater up quickly and get back to using it. I highly recommend getting these vent caps for the now modern safety cans that exist.

Perfect for venting a water jug or gas can. Love that you don't need to try and pull it through the mouth of the jug, just push it into the hole you drilled, tighten it down, and you're done.

The government sure did screw up gas cans, didn't they? I used to do the "pinhole in the handle" trick to keep my collection of government-ruined gas cans from ballooning in the summer or crumpling in the winter. The problem with the pinhole is, gas or diesel gets out from sloshing on the return trip from the gas station. It's not a lot, but enough to be an issue. I didn't mind this as much when we had a pickup truck, but it got totaled by a distracted driver and now we have to bring cans to the gas station in the cargo area of our SUVs, so fumes and spillage are a huge concern. I bought a pack of these vent caps, installed them (Easy peazy), and they work wonderfully! I tighten the vent cap for the trip home, ZERO leaks. I crack the cap open for storage, no ballooning or collapsing in temp changes. And, my shed doesn't have that "old guy garage" gas vapor stench anymore. These would make excellent stocking stuffers for gearheads!

This kit is high quality and easy to install. The unique drill bit pulls the material out so it doesn't drop inside the can. The fittings are a tight fit to get in, but with some effort and patience, they'll go in. They seem to deal well, but they're also not installed in the "wet" part. Smart design and very solid. Comes with everything you need (minus a drill). I would definitely recommend and would buy again!

Beautiful! Drill bit drills a *round* hole, not a triangle square, while also pulling the plastic out, not in. File gets the hole even cleaner for the perfect seal. The vent is just the right perfect size to make such a tight seal that it's somewhat difficult to get inside the can, use the file to carefully push it all the way in. Securing the nut on the stem compresses the seal around the hole on both sides. Perfect, tight seal, no leaks, no more glug glug, gas flies out of the can. No leaks. I'm ordering more.
