I had an older style Casio Pro Trek Atomic Solar watch that had no mechanical components. I think this version is much more stylish, and I find it easier to view. But I will warn anyone buying one of these that because it does a lot, unless you have a better memory than me, you'll find yourself referring back to the included manual to learn how to do some things it's capable of. But that's more a critique of me than the product. My only real complaint is with the nightlight. It's clever in that it uses an integrated UV LED to charge the luminescent hands, but because of the angle, it really doesn't do that good a job. So nighttime viewing is not as good as with, say, the fully LCD versions of this watch. But it does everything it says, I've never had the battery run below H (high), and it's quite durable (I wear it every day and I'm both quite active and do a lot of hands-on activities that should have scratched it up a lot, and yet it still looks as good as when I took it out of the box). My only long-term concern is whether the mechanics will eventually fail (my expectations are high since my previous all LCD Casio is over 14 years old and still works fine -- including all of the sensors).

I've been wearing Casio watches for over 50 years and I must say this is one if yhe best looking watches they have ever made. It has many of the features the G-Shocks have withouth the super thick case. I am thin so some watches are just too large but the 6600 fits perfectly. If you look at the measurements be away they are adding the crown and buttons into the figure. I had also ordered screen savers to protect the mineral glass from getting scratched. I recommend it. PROS: Beautiful and masculine. VERY easy to read even at an angle. Nice size for this yype of watch. Many features but even though I won't be using some of them I need a compass. Atomic clock is a HUGE plus for us time police. 😃 Solar powered so battery should last 20 years. World time and it's very easy to set. 5571 internal movement is easy to use. Very nice silicone band with quick release. Plenty of band holes for thinner wrists. Black buckle looks good. Ither bands will fit.if needed. Easy to use backlight. Glow in yhe dark work fairly well. LOUD alarm. Negative display screen is easy to read. Tells temperature but it must be off your wrist for at least 29 minutes. (This is normal) Altimeter must be set to be accurate and then it works well. Tutorial videos available online. Packed in a wooden box so it looks nice as a gift. CONS: Pricey compared to some other great Casio watches. Band does not have a locking or wratched keeper. Light could be brighter. FYI: Although not a thick watch it may be too thick for formal wear. Makes people want to be like you. 😬 This is a fantastic watch. As I get older and my vision dims it's good to have an easy-to-read-at-a-glance watch. If you are looking for a G-Steel or G-Shock but watch something a bit classier this may be what you're looking for. Highly recommended

I've had this watch for just over a month now. While it took a few days to figure out all the options available on it, after watching a couple of Youtube videos, I figured it out. It is really quite intuitive once you get the hang of it. I was replacing another Casio solar watch that I have had for many years. I also have several higher end conventional Swiss watches, but this is the one that I normally wear. This watch looks great and has many useful features. I live in California, but it picks up the WWV signal from Colorado almost every night, so the time is accurate to the second at all times. It looks great and is comfortable to wear. I use and enjoy many of the features such as the stopwatch, altimeter and others. If you like the look of the watch, I would highly recommend it to anyone. It is well made, will save a lot of money in batteries and should last for many years.

Added a black diver's strap (20 bucks) and tempered glass (15 bucks). Am very happy with this watch (it's been 2 months since I received it). So many features and gadgets -- most I won't use, but nice to have just-in-case, I suppose. Field watch for end-times. LOL. Features I do use and/or appreciate: * bigger face with clear numbers * self-charging/ solar * EXACT time with multi-band 6 (auto syncing to atomic time) * dual-time for world time * 5 alarms -- great for reminders for regular things-to-do * luminescense is super, and excellent light -- both easy to read * hands-free light is AWESOME. In dark, if you shift/angle your wrist, the light automatically turns on -- great feature for when in bed (I rarely take off my watch - lazy) The user-manual is daunting. I learned all my watch's features from an awesome 52minute YouTube video titled, "Casio Protrek-PRW-6000...". (Amazon reviews won't let me link it, here). All of that video's content applies to this model PRW-6600Y. And, it was all broken down into chapters. Highly recommend watching this. No regrets with this purchase.

model PRW-6600Y-1A9CR empecemos por lo malo rapido: la luz solo dura 3seg maximo, no hay manera de extender la duracion solo 1 o 3 segundos. al activar una funcion como el compass en la noche, el reloj tiene 24hrs pudieron program que la luz del display se quede encendida por minimo 3minutos para que encuentres tu camino puedas reflexionar la mejor ruta, 3segundos me parece una burla para este tipo de reloj de supervivencia, ojala que casio reflexione en lo que vende y mejor la duracion de la luz el reloj se llama "PRO TREK", esta en el nombre. ahora lo Bueno o Excelente. no pense que fuera a ser tan elegante, a mi no me importa yo lo usaria con traje, esta hermoso. el peso es minimo, es delgado para tener tanta tecnologia. el diseño de los numeros esta excelente el extensible apenas y suda un poco la muneca, con otros relojes suda mas pero no se que tipo de extensible sea y esta super fresco. Iluminacion: neta 3segundos, checa el video. peor no se activa al cambiar funciones. no se que estaba pensando casio, pero alguien tiene que ser despedido. la hora se ve con poca luz muy claramente, solo en plena oscuridad encenderias la luz del display. el Lume o el neobrite, dura toda la noche si lo cargas 15min, checa los videos, se ve genial. este reloj esta genial de dia, de noche no seria mi opcion para guiarme, la poca duracion de la luz no ayuda a nada, solo si estas en casa a salvo, usaria otro reloj para senderismo nocturno. aun asi 5 estrellas el reloj esta genial, se ve genial, la hora se ve claramente todo el dia, genial para mostrar en las parrilladas, pero no salgas a caminar con el te vas a perder.

Al parecer está fallando la parte de luz ya que no enciende necesito asesoría para ver si es ajuste o falla del equipo no enciende luz de noche del display

Big face dial, very visible numerals, plenty of features for a very beautiful watch. Can wear it all day indoor & outdoor, very comfortable.
