We love them. We don’t drink water without it going through it. I got them at a good price, and I would pay even more if I had to. We get bonus use from them when we clean the junk off of the outside of them after we use them for a few months. If you start to use them, you will never go without them.

This is the best filter I've owned. The water tastes good and when the flow rate slows down, it's time to clean the filter. You simply remove it and use a clean abrasive sponge to scrub down all the brown stuff (presumably organic growth) that builds up on the ceramic filter housing and rinse it off. Then re-insert the filter and let it run for a few minutes to flush it out. The water still tastes great after cleaning and this process can be repeated for many months to save money. I typically replace the filter every 6-8 months, so it's a good value considering the other filters on the market need replacing far more often because they cannot be cleaned. As a testament to the water quality, we use the filtered water for our goldfish tank without any other treatment necessary, and the goldfish has been quite happy for over a year now. Goldfish are tough fish, so I'm not suggesting this for other fish varieties, but still, the filter seems to do a good job of removing chlorine and other contaminants. I don't understand the negative reviews, I've never had any problems with this filter system and I've had it for 2+ years now. Just don't drop the filter or over tighten it and you'll be fine.

Love the Doulton undersink filter system, it's high quality and fairly economical, also their equipment makes it very easy to change filters. I've been using it for almost 10 years now. It's hard to find the filter replacements though, except on the Doulton website at a very high price. Discountfilterstore has always had them, either directly on their website or on Amazon, and the cost is quite reasonable.

In 2015 I installed a W9331032 counter top single filter unit. Have bought and installed 2 new filter candles in May and November with cleaning the used element at the 3 to 4 month time in 2016 and 2017. This keeps my Kuerig clean and provides excellent tea, coffee, drinking water and best of all...my wife likes it. Yes I will be ordering another pair of filter candles in a few months. Water doesn't flow through them at all. Scrubbed them, cleaned them, let them sit in water for over 72 hours. I purchased them ahead of time so now I can't return them. They simply don't work.

3 1/2 stars. First of all, the water tastes great out of this filter and it lasts a long time. HOWEVER, I have broken about 3 or 4 of these by accidentally "over tightening" the filter and breaking off the plastic threaded piece. This piece should not be plastic!! Please fix this somehow. I can't tell you how frustrating it is to break the filter only after using it once and cleaning it. I screw it back in with my thumb and pinky only and still break it. This should not be.

Easy installation, water tastes great, no complaints after 1 month of usage. Purchasers should know that we were very gentle with the cartridge as warned by previous purchasers. The plastic container which held the old ceramic cartridge had to be opened by a pipe wrench. That was the hardest part even though we opened up the cold water dispenser as suggested by the instructions. So far, satisfied with the filtered water system and the ceramic cartridge which cleans our city water.

Works as expected

We've been using the Doulton filter system for many years now and are still impressed with the water quality. This was the second time I've purchased these filter candles, not because mine were worn out but because I broke one of them. I have been very happy both times. The filters came by the specified date and, above all, were very well packaged.

I trust Doulton with providing clean drinking water to my family. I have been using their products for years and will continue to do so as long as they keep making ceramic filters. The water flows out well and tastes great.
