Needed only one 5000g weight per my scales instructions for calibration. Ordering this set makes things more convenient since it splits the weight up so I can check other ranges after calibration.

I needed these for my new kitchen scale. My old kitchen scale had no calibration feature and became useless. 250 ml of water (using tare) weighed 225 g, 500 ml of water weighed 486 g. So I am glad to have these weights for the new scale which needed calibrating. I will also use them to check the accuracy of the scale from time to time and recalibrate if necessary. I bought the 2 500 gram and 2 2kg set which will be more useful in checking accuracy. Besides being functional, they look nice and they came very promptly, which I appreciate since I use my kitchen scale quite often and was resorting to volume measurements.
