Exact fit

This matched identically to the OEM filter that came factory new directly from Yamaha on my AR195, and matched identally to the replacement (3rd filter) I just bought from the dealer. The only difference was that the this one was 20$ and the dealer charged $15 and was a 40 minute drive to go get. I will just plan ahead going forward and make sure I have one on hand. I used this on my Yamaha AR195 2022 model. I recall putting it on hand tight in October before storage for winter. I needed to change the oil again completely this month (July) (for another reason) before running the engine on the water this year. With only 20 minutes of run time on the engine to burn off the fogging oil from storage, I couldn’t get the filter off with my hands, the strap style wrench, and had to go to the plier style claw gripper to get it off, which deformed the filter. Likely all of this is because I my hand strength was better last fall, but I am now searching for a socket style filter wrench that fits this filter perfectly. This is just my observation, and and my direction, I find no fault in the product and would buy again if I wanted everything in one box on my door step because the engine needs to be serviced for winter…. And I couldn’t get to the dealer.

The o-ring seal is not to be removed to apply oil prior to installing the filter, which is common with other oil filters. This is according to my Yamaha service center.

I replace this OEM Yamaha Oil Filter Element every year, and I’ve never had an issue. It fits perfectly and does the job without fail. Highly reliable and durable exactly what you expect from an OEM part. I’ve been using these for a while now and will continue to do so.
