Because it is often an outdoor item it would be better if the screws were sturdier to endure the elements. I used my own marine grade screws to help eliminate corrosion and get a longer life out them. Otherwise, the order was just as expected and received right on time! fun game once you get hang of it. TRICK - think slight arc and rebound onto hook. Once you get the trick, you can hook it within 1-3 swings. The board is thick. The joints are event and smooth. There no rough edge on metal ring, which is dark color. String is sturdy and instructions are clear. Enjoy !!

This is a challenging, yet fun game. From grandpa and grandma to little kids, everyone seems to enjoy this. It's easy to install and looks nice. I was concerned about the size and banging up the walls, but the way the stings are attached/angled. it doesn't happen. Sure, you could make a game with a trip to the hardware store and some string, but this looks great and is well worth the modest price!

It was pretty easy to install, and works great. Thought my kid was going to hate it and be bored when she first started playing with it, but quickly realized that this game feeds on one's obsession with accomplishing success. She stood there for an hour before she made it finally, then hasn't stopped since. I installed it for her birthday party and the kids were nuts for this thing. should have bought two of them. I will say that the little eyebolt keeps falling out of the ceiling because it is too small. Go buy a slightly bigger one for less than a buck at home depot and you are golden.

My first one was just a bad one. I screwed the hook 2 or 3 times(not even in all the way and a vertical crack in the wood appeared. He company sent a new one and it did not crack, so I am happy with the purchase.

Great instructions, high quality product with a nice look. I didn’t use the adhesion option so I put three stars. That rating should really be N/A for me. Just installed with the screws that came with it. Really happy with it.

It was difficult to get the string hung just right. The trick is to hang the ring first, put it on the hook, then hang the hook so that there is just a little slack to the string. Too much or not enough slack and it'll never catch the hook. Good luck! But so super fun and addictive. Every time I take the dog out back to do his business I play a few rounds lol. Love this thing.

When we were looking at buying some outdoor games for our backyard wedding, we almost passed on buying this hook and ring game. I’m so glad we didn’t! Setting up the target and string was a breeze. But be careful: Once you start playing this game, you may never be able to stop. This game is so simple, but so addicting! We had it set up on the back porch, and my groomsmen and I were literally playing it up until the minute we had to walk down the aisle! Haha Probably helped to calm the nerves a little bit. This game would be great for when you are having drinks with friends. No complicated scoring or rules. Just good fun and competition.
