Really good ladder. Strong, sturdy, easy to extend and retract. I felt safe going up to the to the top windows. You have to install the bar at the bottom. It goes into the legs on one side, then put the bolts and washers on, with the bar in between inside, and not over tighten it or it will bend the metal. Do not leave it outside for burgulars. Put it inside a shed or garage or chain it up with a padlock.

Ordered the ladder at the end of November and the ladder was dispatched via DX, who (after a week) then subcontracted delivery to a local courier. The ladder then went AWOL for a couple of weeks. I phoned BPS on a handful of occasions , who went above and beyond to try and trace it and get it delivered. Ultimately they decided to send a replacement one and I eventually received it just over a month after ordering it. I can't fault BPS and especially Trudi, who made every effort to resolve the issue. A big thumbs down to DX though, who really could have done better. Great ladder, BTW, light yet robust and easy to deploy on your own with a simple but effective locking mechanism. The fact that it can also open out as an 'A' frame ladder is a bonus. A bit of a bargain really when other well known companies are selling similar for £100+ more.

Needed a ladder to change a lightbulb about 4 metres in the air. Assumed I would need to use it as extension ladder but turned out I could reach in stepladder mode. Stabiliser does a great job of keeping the ladder steady. Light weight but because there are few moving parts it is very sturdy. Only downside is that when folded it's quite large so can't be manoeuvred in tight spaces. Still gave 5 stars because this ladder is not meant for tight spaces. If you want one of those then get a telescopic ladder and accept that it's not going to be sturdy at height. I found it easy to assemble the stabiliser, I think it's more operator error for those who have had problems.

I love this ladder. It's definitely not recommended for commercial use. But for round the home doing jobs. Can't really beat this. In my picture. I used this ladder to do a quick bodge of a drain pipe. It was full of grit etc. I used the ladder to get up there. At no point did it feel unsafe. The stability was excellent. The ladder does flex. Especially when you're using it fully extended. And it felt a bit uncomfortable. But it got the job done and it will be rare I'm up that high again. So I'm really happy with this ladder. It came really quickly, in pristine condition and it took me 2 minutes to put it to use. Grand thing. Top marks from me. I'm recommending this to anyone who will listen.

The ladder is robust and is excellent value for money. The stabiliser is very easy to fit and does its job admirably My only adverse comment is that because of its robustness the ladder is also quite heavy and not particularly easy for one person to move easily by themselves. Whilst this could well be considered a positive characteristic in a ladder I was disappointed that it is not possible (at least I am unable to work out how to do so) to separate the two sections so that the bottom section can be used independently for jobs that do not require the full extension length thus making a lighter (and more manageable) tool.

Great buy easier to reach everything and much safer too able to reach higher gutterings even the neighbour borrows them and makes his job so much easier n safer for him to do his gutterings does ours too when he does his. So winner all round
