Great boots!
Really comfortable and durable! Fit perfect. Well made, great quality boots! Bought for a really picky logger who is super hard on boots, and he loves them!

Excelent.
Everything Red Wing, Irish Setter, and the reveiwers, says about these boots is true. It's as if my feet are still at home in my fleece slippers. The comfort is unbelievable. Minimal break in. 13W fits perfect. No heel slip. No crunched toes. No squeezed width. Ohh, so comfortable. All the money I've wasted trying to get boots that fit and don't hurt. Well worth the money. These will last the rest of my life. Ill be 65 in 3 days. I bought these, 10" uninsulateded and 12" 1000g insulated. I wore the 1000g insulated in 75 degree room and walked 15 minutes. Feet were warm but not hot. Just right. Went outside in minus 10 degree for an hour. My feet stayed the same warmth. That is impresive. Never had such a worthwhile self given birthday present.

Really Good Boots
Just bought these a few weeks ago. I have essentially this same pair of boots, but in the version a couple inches taller, with insulation. I've had them well over 10 years. I use them pretty exclusively for hunting, but they still get a lot of miles on them every year, in rough terrain. They just keep holding up...No idea if the quality is the same and these new ones will hold up just as long, but I hope so. I took a photo of the sole. Even the soles on the 10+ year-old boots are like new. I know some people wear through these soles, but I don't know how...maybe because they're meant to be hunting boots, they hold up great on dirt/roots/rocks/snow, but wear fast on sidewalks? I don't know. I'm amazed at the condition of the soles after so many years.I actually use these as winter hiking boots. They tall, waterproof, and while they're aren't technically insulated, the thick liner and waterproof layer provide enough insulation that if it's above zero (F) and I'm moving the whole time, they're plenty warm.People complain about the pinch point at the ankle, and they're right. Every other part of the boot was really easy to break in, but the ankle kept bugging me for days/miles. I think I'm past it now. If you have knobby ankles, it might be really uncomfortable. I notice that my older pair don't have the lace hook halfway up, like these new ones. Maybe people could skip that hook and it would take a little pressure off the ankle? Worth experimenting.Anyway, so far so good. I wore them on a couple ~2 mile, steep hikes for initial break-in, then wore them every day for 2 weeks doing a fairly flat, 2 mile dog walk twice a day. They'll keep getting softer, but at this point they're broken in. I'm liking them.
