Can we use rechargeable batteries for this?

In short, the answer no. Lithium batteries tend to work best for all night vision devices and with a pvs-14. You’re generally looking around 40-45 hours of run time off one battery. Do not use nickel or older batteries for the same reason as rechargeable batteries. They tend to leak. If the rechargeable batteries void your warranty you’re looking 100-250 bucks for the battery housing if you feel you can change it out yourself which is fairly easy and I would recommend if that particular circumstance happens. You’ll save 80 bucks a year if you use this device full time meaning 40 hours a week until the service life ends “10,000” hours. Lithium batteries are around 2 bucks per battery. Rechargeable batteries tend to have a peak and a low point towards the end of its charge, so it may be difficult or not function quiet the same towards the end of the cycle. Is it really worth it at the end of the day for you? If so you can give it a shot and save the money. I’ve seen people do it but they also know the risks involved. Check with the manufacturer first under the warranty. Disclaimer- I’ve got hundreds of hours under night vision in general ranging from different platforms and devices. This is limited to my ability and personal use. Others may have more time and may disagree. So take it as you will.
