Anthony's Organic Red Rooibos Loose Leaf Tea, 1 lb, Gluten Free, Non GMO, Non Irradiated, Keto Friendly

Nice product for a good price, I used to buy locally but the place I purchased from in bulk closed down. I enjoy having some in the evenings as a caffeine free alternative instead of some other herbal tisanes to switch it up but I've never been a fan of the flavored versions. Heart health benefits are a plus but I don't drink it specifically for that, but it is good to talk to your doctor if you're on some blood pressure meds while drinking this. I don't really measure the amount I'm using, I usually just grab a normal sized spoon and add a heaping spoonful and let steep for maybe 5 mins and the next round longer, but you can't really oversteep rooibos.

I'm trying to move away from prepackaged teas and looking for good, loose alternatives. I've used Anthony's branded products before and am a fan. I love red rooibos anyway, as they have a warm vanilla tobacco smell/profile (to me), and I love all things vanilla tobacco. I'm so glad I tried it, as this one is marvelous. You get a pound for less than $20 as of this review. It is gluten-free, has no weird fillers or additives, and it is naturally caffeine-free. I have fine mesh metal screens that I use in my mugs. I take 2-4 spoonfuls, depending on the size of the mug, and add it to the screen as it sits in the hot water. I let it steep for a few minutes, and it is good to go. It has a gorgeous red/brown color and delicious flavor, and I can get 2-3 reuses out of the leaves. If I want another cup, I will take the screen with the used tea and apply it to the same mug with new water. I end up with an equally robust flavor. So overall, it is a great deal when you consider how many cups of tea I will get out of a 1lb bag. I will continue to buy. And based on this experience, I've opted to get a couple of other flavors to see how they taste.

This is a wonderful tea! Tastes just like black tea but without the caffeine.

Tea appears to be a good quality. Only issue is it is so finely chopped that it seeps through the strainer so I have to use a coffee filter to brew it with

Saw some studies showing one cup a day helps reduce cholesterol. Fingers crossed. I prefer it cold and mixed with club soda. Otherwise I find the taste too strong.

We enjoy this Red Rooibos Loose Leaf tea so much, I make this by the half gallon year round. It’s always fresh with an enticing aroma. I use cloth tea bags and follow the directions for a good strength and flavor. I like that’s it organic and comes in the 1 lb size. In the cooler weather we like to have it hot to help wind down and relax. I’ve bought this brand exclusively for several years and the flavor, quality and taste remain consistently good.
