My favorite tried and true!
I am a licensed nail tech. This brand is always reliable. This set is done with the sheer pink on my natural nails. It's a semi hard builder which I can soak off easily, but gives strength like hard gel. I use on myself and clients with natural nails and extensions. There is no lifting and no damage even after my nails were 1 month overgrown without a refill. Second set was on my client's natural nails which she grew from nubs to get to that length with this ibd gel. Proper nail prep is key. The negative reviews are from people inexperienced with gels. PLEASE EDUCATE YOURSELVES BEFORE USING GELS AND GIVING YOURSELF DAMAGE AND ALLERGIES!!! This self levels pretty quick so you also have to be quick. Do one at a time and flash cure a few seconds to hold it in place. Apex building is easy. I love the translucent jelly pink color. You can see the sheerness in the square nail photo. It gives a flush of color to the nailbed. It's like your nails, but better kind of color. A no makeup "makeup" for your nails! Also, if it isn't curing properly then it means A.) Your lamp isn't atleast 48 watts. B.) Your coat is too thick especially if it's a more opaque color such as the white one. OR C.) You received a defective product. All of which can be true. I fully stand by this gel though. I've used ibd brand as a diy-er when I was a young aspiring tech and now as a licensed nail tech. *Last photo are of my natural nails with just the builder on. Even shiny without topcoat. Builds nice Apex for strength and durability. If you do it right there is no need for much filing on top! I did none at all. The sheer pink is gorgeous.

Easy to Use and Durable
Love this product! I’ve been doing my own nails at home for several years and I love trying new techniques and methods when I can. After initially using this on my natural nail length I decided to do a fill using nail forms to add length. It took me a while but it was so easy to do and I’ve never used forms before. My nails are strong and long! Love the natural pink color.

Love the product
Salon-Quality Results at Home! 💅🏼 The IBD Building Gel is a total game-changer for anyone who loves doing their own nails or wants to achieve strong, professional-quality nail extensions without going to the salon. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and I’m honestly impressed by how easy it is to work with and how beautiful the results are! The consistency is smooth, self-leveling, and easy to control, making it perfect for beginners and pros alike. It doesn’t run or flood the cuticle, and it cures perfectly under a UV or LED lamp. The Cover Pink shade is gorgeous — natural-looking, soft, and flattering for all skin tones. It’s ideal for creating a clean nude base, baby boomers, or French-style manicures.

Very good product
This building gel is easy to work with and creates strong, durable extensions. The cover pink shade looks natural and also hide imperfections well. It cures smoothly with minimal shrinking and holds up very well to daily wear, very good option for long lasting and professional looking nails. Thickness is good and it worth your money. Strong holding .

love!
this is so easy to use. cures very well. it is sticky after curing, but wiping it with alcohol does the trick. very thick and stays in place.

Decent but not for sensitive skin
Easy to use, looks nice, I used duel forms and layered them into a thicker nail/apex. Worked nicely. Pretty color the sheer pink. Only thing is I am extremely allergic to it! My fingers are bumpy, blistered, swollen and cracked sadly. They hurt:( but not really the products fault I guess. Had to remove all my hard work

Update! 3 Weeks of Wear and 2nd Application
This is an update of my experience with this product. My initial review is below. I was hoping that this product would last 3 weeks and I am happy to report that it did! The gel didn’t lift, crack, or split. My nails stayed strong and grew out substantially. I am 100% satisfied with the gel. I do agree with others that the brush needs to be improved, it is too large and wide. I did my second manicure and I am very happy with the result. See photos below of my 3 week outgrowth and new manicure. ——Initial Review—— I purchased the IBD Building Gel in Cover Pink, and the IBD UV Bonder. I wanted to use these products for a “my nails but better” overlay on my natural nails. I am hoping this product will last 3 weeks (crossing fingers!) I spent a good amount of time on prep making sure my cuticles were pushed back and my nails were free of cuticle and filed into shape. After wiping nails with alcohol I brushed on a thin coat of the UV Bonder and then cured under UV light. After that I did a thin coat of the Builder Gel followed by dabbing on a thicker layer trying to build an apex (like I saw on a YouTube video!) I did ok I think for a first time but I hope I get better over time. I love the results! The Cover Pink is semi-sheer milky pink and still shows my free nail which is what I wanted. My nails are strong, smooth and shiny and I got the look I was going for. Time will tell how long it lasts but for now I’m very happy! Edit: 1 Week Update- Going strong, No lifting, no chips, no cracks. Still shiny! Week 2: Still no lifting no chips no cracks. Slightly less shiny. My nails are definitely growing out. Just 1 week to go to meet my 3 week goal!

UPDATE: Sept 7, 2024
UPDATE: This product is amazing. I definitely was not using it correctly. I had it for a while without using and I started using it a few months ago and I am not going back. The step that made a difference for me was putting on a base coat before going in with the builder gel. I prep and dehydrate my nails, then I go in with Young Nails Protein Bond. I put a layer of gel polish base coat and cure. After that, you can either paint the builder gel on and cure each layer until you get your desired thickness, or you can paint a slip layer of the builder gel that you don't cure and then go in with another blob and work it side to side down the nail. However, the latter can be a bit tricky because the product is runny and can run to the cuticles and make a mess. Once through, remove the tacky layer with alcohol and file and shape. I have had no issues since learning how to use the product correctly. The product does not lift. I have done my nails and gone 6 weeks without refilling and have had no lifting or breakage. My natural nails have grown so much that I have to keep cutting them down. I don't like the brush but the product is excellent. I would recommend it especially for those who want to grow their natural nails because it will not keep lifting if used correctly. OLD REVIEW: I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or whether this product is just trash. I am a trained and experienced beauty therapist. I have tried using this to do a gel overlay twice. The first time, I used it with dehydrator and young nails protein bond. The builder gel shrank significantly, even on the second layer. It shrank away from free-edge, sidewalls and cuticle so I had to soak it off. I tried again but only by only dehydrating, since some primers/bonders can cause this. This was at night and by the time I woke up in the morning, all the nails were peeling off from the free-edge. IBD is supposed to be a reputable brand. I am super disappointed. I am so afraid to use it on clients now.
