Q: How do you pull the pump out? I tried turning, pulling, pushing... I can't activate it.

I had the same problem. Very poor product distribution to lock down the pump before sending it to the consumer. I would not recommend this product.

Q: Are these safe for acetone?

I would say no. You’ll need to get bottles made to use with harsh chemicals. That way the chemical doesn’t ruin the sprayer.

Q: Do you turn the cap clockwise or counter clockwise to release the pump?

It's been a while, but I believe it was counter clockwise. I wore rubber gloves to get a firm grip.

Q: Will these work for coffee syrups

I think so. As long as you keep the pump clean between uses.
