Illustrator CC: For Windows and Macintosh (Visual QuickStart Guide) Pap/Psc Edition

I used this book in the Fall of 2018 for an Adobe illustrator CC class I took at the local Community College. It was required for people who had not had recent Adobe illustrator Experience. I liked the Index in the Book , which i used extensively to get through the course. I received a "C" grade when I did pass the course.

While this book is very comprehensive, Illustrator is very complex and wide ranging. To me, they would have done much better to break the chapters up into discrete lessons. I have also been a Corel Draw person, and the switch to Illustrator is very hard. I still continue to use Corel as it is much more intuitive and easier to use, although not as deep as Adobe. I am still very confused by Illustrator as I try to go through this book.

This book is a great reference for everyone interested in Adobe Illustrator. For graphic designers it's a must have! The language is pretty dry and hard to get through, but it works as a quick reference guide to AI's many functions.

I am using this book for a class. This is a great book to help you understand the new methods for Adobe Illustrator. This also helps people understand how to use layering techniques and how to draw with blurs, glows, and other illusions.

Cover on the paperback version of this textbook has "Includes eBook Access" clearly listed albeit I can't figure out how to access this bonus feature. My plans were to start on the eBook prior to the paperback arriving. It's not showing up on my Kindle; I checked there first following my purchase. I can't see any links that say something like "now that you've bought this edition, click here to access your eBook content." Any help.... greatly appreciated.

I haven't really had a chance to use this guide that much as it came and looked a bit complicated to jump into.

It has all the very basic commands one needs to be able to understand the program. It is written in a manner that everyone can understand that is not affiliated with computers or graphic programs.

I"m an Adobe Certified instructor for Illustrator and I've been using this book for many years. The information provided is correct and informative, with a great index. I would recommend this for anyone struggling with Illustrator, when you want to just know what to click on and where it is!

Very useful reference manual. Am doing a foundation degree in graphic design and have only had limited tuition in this software so am finding it very useful. I am old school when it comes to learning software so like a printed page to look up stuff

recommended by study course... online tutorials easier to use... a good starting point though
