Fantastic griddle that can be used for every meal!
Absolutely LOVE this griddle! We use this for breakfast, lunch, and dinner while camping. It is large enough to cook several items at once. The heat distribution is pretty good and everything is good, heavy duty quality. This is much cheaper than name brand products but works just as good, and for a much better price! We use this with a large propane tank that is on our camper, so it's great to set up right next to it on our picnic table. The cover is awesome for storage in between camping trips.

You can't beat this griddle
This is an amazing Griddle. Easy cleanup. This size is perfect for cooking up to six people. Assembly is easy. No rusting. I have one myself and I bought one for my daughter.

Awesome Little Griddle
The Royal Gourmet PD1301R is an awesome little griddle, and you really can’t beat the price! I’ve always wanted a griddle, but the bigger ones were either too large or too expensive for my needs. Since I only cook for 3 people, having a large griddle felt like overkill and a waste of space. This 24-inch, 3-burner tabletop model is the perfect size for me. It heats evenly, has plenty of cooking space, and is very easy to clean. I had one of those griddles that you add to the top of a normal gas grill, and it didn’t work great and was a pain to clean. This griddle is so much better in terms of functionality and ease of cleaning. The cover is a nice bonus, making it portable and convenient for outdoor cooking. If you’re looking for a compact, budget-friendly griddle that performs great, this one is a fantastic option!

Ok overall, but not very even in heat distribution.
I've managed to cook some really nice batches of chicken on it, so no major complaints here. However it has its flaws. Griddle bed is uneven in it's heat distribution. Middle 1/3 strip of the bed, right over the burners gets very hot (450 - 500) even on the lowest setting. Further 1/3 strip of the bed gets very hot too but just a bit lower. Closest 1/3 strip of the bed gets very low temperatures (just over 300). This is with all three burners on lowest setting. The grease catching hole and tray tend to leak really badly. The hole in the tray tends to drop crease more on to the case of the griddle rather than into the grease catching tray. It is an easy solution as a simple aluminum foil funnel stuck between the griddle bed and through the hole of the body into the grease tray catches all the drips, but it is still another thing to do every time I use it. The good thing is that the bed seemed to season relatively well and is very non stick even with acidic and sugary/sticky items such as Orange juice (Chicken breast marinated in orange juice and peel with Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce). Overall I'm still getting a good use out of this griddle and I like its size as it is very compact for a propane gas griddle, but it has its flaws and quirks to work around.

Great cooking experience!
I'd like to add my voice to the other positive reviews. I had never cooked on a griddle, so I've been experimenting with various foods over the last month or so, and I'm happy to report that everything I've tried has been wonderful. I've done burgers (of course), stir fry beef strips, veggies of all kinds (mushrooms and onions cook great on the griddle), and many other things. I'm going to try fried rice next. This griddle is easy to use and very easy to clean once seasoned. I admit I was intimidated by the thought of seasoning it, but I used Blackstone griddle seasoning, and it was a very easy process. We really like that we can easily cook veggies because we eat a lot of them. A griddle works so much better than a grill, fqr more versatile. So if you're on the fence about buying this griddle, don't be. The quality is great, easy to assemble, and the food is delicious.

Makes you forget that you have a Grill
Well all has started with a grilling event on the ocean side, we used a small charcoal grill. We got smoke minor burns, raw food, completely burnt food, lighter fluid, and remained hungry. So I was looking for some alternatives. Among a few searches this one popped out. I didn't even know that people use griddle outside of professional kitchen. I've bought a grill when we moved to the USA, though it is always a hustle to keep that clean, so I've lost the interest in it a few months after the purchase. Since I have this griddle I use it 2-4 or even more times a week (it's still summer). So let's review the details. Size: It's portable, though it is not small or compact. It can run on a small propane tank (with a suitable adapter) for about an hour with all the burners on low. You can use about the upper 4/5 of the cooking surface, as the bottom part usually too cold. It's enough to comfortably cook 8 burger patties in one batch. Heat: For me, this griddle runs hot, I usually cook on low. sometimes switching a burner or two off if the food needs to have different temperatures. I use the high setting only if I have a lot of food on the plate with high water content (hash browns, rice). Maintenance: That's a big surprise. This thing is porcelain coated which is not common for larger grills. I only can guess. This type of coating is quite brittle, so the unavoidable bends on a larger surface makes this coating impractical. Also the instructions is not that clear how to clean/prepare the plate surface. I've spent hours with seasoning, realizing that I would scrape of all that burned oil from the surface with my next spatula movement. Unlike ceramics, it is fine to use metal tools on this surface, as long as it's not a sharp poking one. So cleaning is just scraping the surface, and applying water on hot surface then wipe it with paper towel using a clip will do. Occasionally I use grill stone to get rid of some nasty burnt-downs. I did that only twice in 5 months so far, and the first one was after my, last, failed seasoning attempt. Both times I got the non-stick porcelain surface back. Comfort: - Well, leveling the plate is an important thing, I feel the four screws on the bottom of the plate does not provide enough setting if you you put this grill to an uneven surface (which could happen, since it is supposed to be portable). Also those screws change the distance between the plate an the burner, so the heat distribution changes as well. - There is no wind protection between the burners an the plate, which again can be challenging in a breezy outdoor setting. (I'd recommend to buy the hard cover, which could provide a wind shield from at least one direction.) - The drain hole for the grease trap could be larger. Even with it's shortcomings, this is a great little griddle for the money.

Good quality but has flaws
Good quality griddle... BUT there are flaws with this particular model. The three burners are designed in a way that the vast majority of heat is at the back of the griddle. When I measured with a laser thermometer, the back third of the griddle was over 500deg, but the front was under 300deg. Since it only measures 14 inches from front to back, that means the usable cooking area is quite small. Even turned down to minimum the back of the griddle is way hotter, and you can't control the temperature of the cooking surface. I can still get good meals from this griddle, and the price is fantastic, but I have to work too hard to manage the temp. I think Royal Gourmet is a good brand to buy, but I would recommend a bigger griddle to have more usable cooking area.
