Could not ask for more from a trickler!
With over 1200 positive reviews on here I felt sure I would find answers to my specific questions, but to my disappointment, I did not. So... Yes, this is an amazingly accurate dispenser. How accurate? My high quality digital powder scale reads to one place to the right of the decimal (tenths). I have not seen many scales less than several hundred dollars with a higher resolution. That said, this trickler would be accurate enough to read to hundredths no doubt. As I load only pistol calibers, I used this item extensively with Winchester W244 ball powder and Hodgdon CFE pistol, HP-38 and Titegroup. All these powders differ slightly, some fine and powdery like Titegroup and some chunkier like HP-38. It worked great with all of them. I was a little miffed to see the product came with no instructions whatsoever; but then, it is fairly self-explanatory. Fill with powder above the metering rod (the horizontal bar you turn to dispense powder), then spin the rod until powder begins to trickle out of the end. It does take a bit of spinning to fill the worm thread that carries the powder down the rod There are what I consider a "coarse" and a "fine" knob on the rod end opposite the dispensing end. The larger diameter knurled knob is coarse while the rubber covered smaller diameter knob would be the fine. Using what I will call "blips" applied to turn the knob will yield approximately the following, differing slightly from powder to powder: - Two blips of the coarse knob (about one full revolution of the rod) will dispense one tenth of a grain, while four blips of the fine knob (also one revolution of the rod) will yield the same amount. I use a dipper to get close to my charge target in the scale pan, then trickle to the target charge. Dead accurate. Now, I don't always charge pistol ammo manually, but I just got a $600 Garmin chronograph (love it) and decided to do a broad spectrum high precision test load lot of 9mm, .38 Special and .44 Magnum loads to see just how consistent I can get velocities. This endeavor, while painful, would have been excruciating difficult without this trickler. Only one negative: Once you're done loading and want to clean up or change powders, quite a bit of powder remains in the lower half of the trickler reservoir no matter how much you shake and tap. The only remedy I've found is to remove the metering rod and wash the reservoir out followed by a thorough dry. I even tried swabbing it out with alcohol to lower surface tension and allow the powder to be dumped out, but no cigar. I'll live with it. I use Lee reloading products almost exclusively and have for 34 years, but this trickler joins my Frankford Arsenal dry tumbler and priming tool, and all are of the highest machine quality and flawless function. Can't go wrong and the price is more than fair.

Recommend
If you are considering a trickler, this is the best one, in terms of function and "tool grade" quality, in my opinion. And the best value for the money. It is heavy steel and very stable. The machining is clean and it is nice to have covers for the receptacle and tube.

Perfect
This Frankford Arsenal Powder Trickler is an absolute game-changer for anyone serious about precision reloading. If you care about getting your powder charges exactly right, this little tool is an absolute must-have. It does one job, and it does it flawlessly. The design is simple but incredibly effective. The trickler gives you complete control over those final grains, allowing you to hit your target weight with pinpoint accuracy. No more over-pouring, no more scooping excess back—just perfect, consistent measurements every time. The construction feels solid and stable, so it stays put on your bench without sliding around. The adjustable height is a nice touch, making it adaptable to different setups. It’s easy to use, easy to clean, and doesn’t waste your time or powder. For the price, you can’t beat the precision this trickler adds to your reloading process. If you’re aiming for absolute accuracy and consistency, this is a tool that delivers exactly what you need. Couldn’t recommend it more!

Great value
I have used one of these DS-750 scales for years and decided to get another. It is really easy to use and very accurate. I always do a check of my charge weight against a beam scale and I am very impressed how consistent the results are.

Great reloading scale for a low price
My son in law recommended this Frankford electronic scale to me. Otherwise I would never have considered such a low priced electronic reloading scale. Wow, I am pleasantly surprised! I have reloaded for over 24 years using an RCBS 10-10 balance scale. It has served me well but a balance scale is way to slow to weigh a lot of bullets or cases. I just couldn't see spending $150 or more on a mid-range reloading scale when I already had the 10-10 scale. At this low price I thought why not try it? I first checked it several times against the included check weight and my RCBS check weight. It varies by 0.1 - 0.2 grains from one weighing to another of the same 250 grain check weight. Not bad, as a balance scale is probably within 0.1 gr +/- just from the visual judgement. Next, I weighed about 350 .223 Rem cases to sort them by headstamp and weight range. Now I am impressed. The scale registered within about one second and I was able to go through the whole batch about as quickly as I could move the cases on and off the scale. Cases of the same headstamp averaged variance of a couple of grains with a few outliers of a few grains variance. +/- 0.2 gr was insignificant for this as well as for weighing bullets. Finally I threw my current load of 26.4 gr of powder from my powder measure, double checked it on the RCBS 10-10 balance scale and it was dead on with the Frankford scale. I removed the pan with the powder on it and replaced it to see if it would register teh same weight, and repeated this many times. Again, the Frankford scale read the same weight +/- 0.1 gr. I am very happy with this little scale. It is perfectly suitable for weighing cases and bullets. Not sure I would trust it all by itself to weigh powder, but I plan to use it to quickly narrow the measure adjustments down and then do a final double check with the balance scale. This is going to get a lot of use! Features I like: - Fast weight registering (main purpose for an electronic scale!) - Accurate and acceptably consistent for most reloading tasks - Several units to select from: grains, grams, oz, carats - Defaults to the last unit you were using - Auto shut off, and quick on cycle (few seconds) - Back light available but not needed in work lighted area - Simple operation - Tare feature to zero with empty pan on scale - Snap cover to protect the scale pad - Reasonably large display numerals so I can read it standing up at the bench As with any electronic scale there are caveats: let it warm up as per instruction for most accurate weighing, but it is usable in most situations within a few seconds. Keep away from electric motors, fluorescent lights, and breezes. Trickling is difficult for electronic scales, so it is better to remove the pan, trickle a bit more, then put the pan back on. If this was your only scale I would re-check the final weigh in several times to ensure no transient variables occurred. That is, use it to quickly narrow down your intended powder charge, and when you think you have the measure set correctly, then re-weigh it a few times to make sure it registers the same weight. If you plan to trickle charges frequently then you may want to consider the higher end scales designed for that. Otherwise this is a good scale at an exceptional price for weighing cases, bullets and adjusting powder measures.

Weighted, stays put when filled.
Excellent powder sprinkler. Has a good weight and stays put when sprinkling powder with one hand. Good height to allow discharge spout to reach powder measuring bowl.

I bought this scale on Amazon.Ca. It was delivered quickly and well packaged. I reloaded 50 - .243 rifle cartridges the first day I also used it to sort through 400 rounds of .243 bullets to find the ones within 1/10 th of a grain of each other. I checked each powder drop against a 505 rcbs beam scale and the little scale never missed a beat. I read reviews that said it didn't work with a trickle charger, mine worked every time, accurately . Even double checking every load it sped up my reloading time. I will get to trust it more with use and compare it less times to the beam scale to speed things up even more. Hope this helps.

A scale that show a different weight every time you use it is worthless!
