Not even 6 months
This was the second IW60 I’ve owned. The one that came with my 5th wheel lasted for 6 months. Parts were ordered and installed which took 5 weeks. I had to pull the water heater and take it into the dealer lose so I still had a place to live (full timer). Returned and worked fine for another 5 months before another problem. Took the water heater out and dropped it off. 4 weeks later got it back and it worked for 2 months. I bought another IW60 so I could have one in the shop and one in the RV. The second one went down within 6 months and had a 4 week repair time. This is great when it works but not something to keep long term.

lots of hot water and reduced propane usage.
Installation is easy but you must consider problems presented by motorhome design and converting connections from existing heater. In my case a Fleetwod discovery is very tight on clearance at back of heater with little room to disconect old fittings. You must also drill 2 holes in floor for drain and condensate and work around drain pipe for washer which is above water heater. Not a quick or easy job but very doable, I did in in the RV park to replace failed Atwood unit. I do need to modify the washer drain when I get home in order to move the heater back further about an inch to allow the vent to fit properly. Worth the effort and like the ability to adjust temperature which the Atwood tank heater did not offer.

Suburban Tankless Swap...
Overall an easy install with the need to work with Pex plumbing lines/crimpable bands as well as a voltmeter to determine wiring needs. The unit requires a cover, an exhaust port, & a controller sold separately? Time & patience is free!! I am really enjoying the showering without time limit of a 6gal tank. The controller makes it easy to adjust temp to 110F for a shower or 115-122F for dishes. The iw60 takes about 7 seconds to come on then a few more seconds for hot water to arrive at fixture so some waste does occur which I collect to put into my drinking water filter on kitchen counter. I am living full time in an RV, & try to minimize waste of anything when boon docking in the middle of nowhere!

Works great!
The tankless water heater in our 2020 Alpine 5th wheel quit working and needed to be replaced. Because of the freeze here in Texas, there were many of them that were damaged or broken and became very hard to find. This all happened while we were camping. We decided to get one of a different brand so we ordered this one. It was easy for my husband to install and it works great. Now we can take hot showers in our RV and no need to boil water to wash dishes. Life is good!

Garbage
I purchased an IW60, tankless water heater in June 2021 from Amazon. I had it installed at the end of July 2021. It stopped working this Monday. I suspect it has something to do with the ‘ECO switch reset’. Every service center in and around My area as well as every mobile service is booked out for weeks. So I am unable to get the issue diagnosed for several weeks let alone get the issue resolved for several more.I am unable to shower. I have called Airxcel’s customer service and they are unable to trouble shoot over the phone.I am a woman of childbearing years which means I bleed for seven days. Because of this terribly shoddy product, abysmal customer service, inept craftsmanship and general inhumanity I am sitting in my own blood and filth for days (and weeks to come per their design). It is not unreasonable for Suburan/Airxcel to provide troubleshooting over the phone. But it is obvious that they are not invested in their product or their customer.Unfortunately the vast majority of RV’s and RV parts are poorly made and lack any quality assurance. More unfortunate is the lack of recourse. Yes, my RV is brand new (received in May 2021).
