Works exactly as advertised. Eliminates laying on the ground reaching into a valve box timer. Must be close for the Bluetooth connect, but its reliable.

This replaced an older Hunter valve controller that had THE worst user interface! With the app, this one is much easier to program and adjust. The mechanical functionality has always been solid. I now don’t need to pull out the manual whenever I start up in the spring or adjust during the summer. Some reviewers don’t like that you have to up close to adjust, but hey! It’s Bluetooth, not web-connected! Stand right next to your valve box and you are fine.

I replace the earlier manual version of this puck in a coupled of HOA managed irrigation zones. The downloadable app for you Android or Apple works really well to set timings and store seasonal adjustment by month. Bluetooth range is good but of course, if the valve well is flooded and the puck is submerged, you will pull the puck out to allow the Bluetooth connection. It has a battery replacement reminder which is useful. This is a great and timesaving controller. Recommended!

I installed this in the spring to water different areas in our garden and have been using it for about six months. This controller and accompanying app are great - when they work. The problem is that half of the time I try to connect with the controller I can't. I will sit next to the controller with my phone for five minutes and the app will identify the nearby controller and attempt to connect. But the connection never happens. I love the ease of scheduling with the app, but the frustration of not being able to connect half of the time is too much.

So happy to finally get a controller that works with blue tooth. Easy to install and so far works great!

I was able to replace the old unit but the instructions for wiring rain sensor were not clear so that has not been set up. App can not be configured remotely from device. I have to be REALLY close to device to configure it. Sort of a nuisance to go outside and configure it (such as pause watering) when it's raining! (hello! WiFi technology is out there!!!) If I had known this (and this is why I write this review) I would have searched harder for a wifi capable device (and if none bought a cheaper device and waited for a wifi device) and not been product loyal...
