My final ghostbuster arrived and looks great. After previous packing issues with Amazon, this came well packaged and well protected and is perfect! He looks great with the other!

Awesome likeness and detail within the sculpt and accessories. Other sets of figures have been a bit disappointing, so I usually have a rule of not purchasing anything that doesnt look like the character. This Plasma Series from Hasbro caught my attention immedately when they debut it at NYC Toy Fair. I LOVE the Ghostbusters, and am so very happy to finally own my own set of these great characters. So far Egon is my first delivery, Im expecting the rest to arrive soon!

Considering when the figure originally launched I was lucky to put in an order for a limited stock item, the delay from order to fulfillment was longer than I would have expected but it all worked out.

Diamond Select’s GB and GB II figures didn’t resemble Egon at all. They were nice cartoonish versions of him, but the likeness wasn’t there. Mattie Collector did an okay job on the 6 inch figure, but the thick framed glasses came off as kind of goofy. The 12 inch was better but at that scale I don’t consider it to be an action figure so much as a pose able statue. Thanks to the 3D printing technology that we have today, Hasbro’s Plasma Egon looks just like Harold Ramis. They even got his expression to look somewhat serious with a bit of a smirk, instead of the regular uncharacteristic scowl that Egon gets stuck with. The articulation is great, the paint job nearly perfect, and the balance good for posing without a stand. However, like with Ray, I can’t figure out why Egon’s proton pack strap is impossible to connect. Even if I were to stretch it to the point of breaking it, it would not reach the little peg it’s supposed to fasten onto. And it’s a shame that the only accessory that Egon got was the PKE meter. It’s very small and probably costs nowhere near as much as Winston’s proton beam. I won’t deduct a star based on these two issues because I really like the figure, but I think that Hasbro should give everyone who ordered Egon, Peter, or Ray a complimentary proton beam.

Absolutely AWESOME Ghostbusters figure. Super happy with it. I'm working on acquiring the entire collection.
