Love this radio!
Pyle PUNP34BT Vintage Retro Classic Style Bluetooth Radio Sound System, USB/SD Readers, AM/FM Radio I ordered and received this radio earlier this week and I absolutely LOVE IT! I wanted a nice radio with good sound and also that was pleasing to the eye and this has it all. I love the retro look. I have an authentic tube radio in a wood case that is very close to size and style as this one that doesn't work great anymore; this one satisfies my need for vintage radios. I love the way the dial changes colors from blue to purple to alert you to which stations are stereo just by the color of the light softly glowing on the dial. Very easy to use. The sound is really good and we can even pick up a station in our home that is normally not accessible unless your are a lot closer and it comes in like it is 5 miles away instead of 25 miles. I am amazed at that, alone. It's a bit more than I wanted to spend but it's worth every penny, in my opinion. The materials that are used in the making of this radio are of top quality and it shows. I just can't say enough about this radio. Fits right into my retro kitchen and also fits in with my fine vintage wood furniture. I can't find any downside to this great piece. If you enjoy nice quality pieces, this is the one for you. You won't be disappointed with this purchase. Love it!

Great radio. Really enjoying it!
This is a great little radio. I love the retro look. The unit is solid and well built. The tuner light gets brighter when a station's signal is strong. Reminds me of the "magic eye" that used to be on some antique radios I've owned in the past. The speakers are mounted on the sides so the fidelity is not excellent but, neither were antique radios. I would recommend that Pyle cut larger holes in the side for the sound to come through but as is I think it sounds great. I would definitely recommend it.

A beautiful radio that had some poor design decisions.
Visually, it's a very well made radio. The knobs and front décor are made of metal. The wood enclosure feels solid and I believe is made of a fiberboard, resin and something that gives the appearance of wood grain. The interior has some poor design choices. Primarily the fact that the enclosure is open with false speaker grills on the front and back. A speaker needs either a tuned enclosure or a sealed one but this design allows the rear wave open with the front wave of the speaker which is why is sounds "tinny" This can be fixed with some modifications as seen in second pic. I removed the side speakers and purchased a 2" x 5" speakers, 8 ohm, for the front, then hot glued in place. I then bought two 3" speakers bolted to the rear, facing back. I sealed up the side speaker grills so that the enclosure acts as a sealed box. The sound output is now much more full and rich. I also replaced the antenna wire with a monopole antenna and receive better signal. It's an upgrade worth of investment but it's a shame that Pyle didn't bother to spend the extra few bucks themselves because it's a beautiful unit.

Awesome sound!
Looks like a radio from the 1940s. High quality crystal clear sound. Bought on the name Pyle, did not disappoint.

Great radio for the money
It's got a solid feel, quality design and finished wood cabinet, and clean, clear audio. Add the SD and USB slots on the side and the input for CD player or turntable in the back to the Bluetooth capability and this is one multitalented radio! It's perfect for listening to audio books and podcasts via the Bluetooth interface, and just about any other type of media will work with this radio. I put a Grundig AN-200 tunable medium wave loop antenna next to the left end of the radio and that got me crystal clear sound on my local AM radio station. This inductive coupling method is great for cleaning up static prone stations and when the radio is designed like this one to give you the best fidelity in the sound department you get the best AM listening ever. For the price this is the best radio investment you can make. There are more expensive radios and more bass oriented EQ on most modern radios but if you want to hear it like it was when radios like this had tubes in them, this is your radio. My only critique is the blue LED lighting in the tuning dial area. Blue is hard on the eyes, and a nice warm amber or white LED would have been a better choice. That's the only thing I don't like on this radio, but it isn't a deal breaker - I can always use a small flashlight to illuminate the dial. My advice - Get one before they stop making this gem.

Retro Style ~ Impulsive Purchase ~ Very Pleased
Absolutely love this. I bought it primarily because of the looks and the fact that its' made from wood. The detail in the grill is a nice touch. I listen to Hawaiian and classical music on it. I love the blue illumination dial for FM and purple for FM Stereo. AM and FM come in quite clear and fairly loud, BT signal lacks and volume is very low for some reason, probably vintage BT. Anyway, I own several Marshall BT speakers, they are all the bomb with nice deep rich lows. The Pyle of course does not compare, it's more for looks and aesthetics and goes well in my man cave. Just another addition to my impulsive buying of audio stuff. If you're looking for quality sound, you'll be disappointed as there is no low end. None. However, I give it 5 stars for what it is, retro style with a transistor radio quality sound and a superb looking radio!
