Hi and yes it will work on any Dirt Bike, just coil the wire around the spark plug wire.

Will this work on a honda vtx1300c v-twin?

Not sure although it works on A Koehler engine 33 up.

How long does the battery last? and can you replace them?

Used about 14 months with at about 2 hrs a week and still going strong. I'm sure if you track down the manual it will tell you how to replace batteries.

I’ve never used it at night but no it’s not back lit
