It has some issues
I bought this set to make an instant shape sorting center. It is just OK and I think I am going to have to supplement.First, the cut outs have to be pushed out so they have little bumps of paper around the edge that I had to cut off to make them look nice. This was extra work I did not expect.Second, they are thin and will not last so I had to laminate every piece then cut all of the pieces out.Third, the whole purpose of getting this set was to have items of the same shape but of differing sizes and angels/degrees... but this set did not really meet that variety as I hoped. For example the set made all the squares and stars nearly the same size. The hearts are way bigger than all the other pieces, but I wanted variety within the same shape.Fourth, the set is supposed to teach 2D and 3D shapes, YET it uses 3D objects as 2D examples. For example: a hemisphere of a kiwi is an oval, an ovoid egg is an oval, ovoid pine cone is an oval, etc. This is only going to create confusion in the long run.Fifth, the set does a terrible job of teaching "rhombus." First of all, the rhombus title looks identical to a square (yes a square is a rhombus, but the important point is that not every rhombus is a square). Plus in this set kids need to sort squares and rhombus separately so having the rhombus title a square is MAJORLY confusing. They even provide a rhombus example that looks identical to a square - kids are just going to sort the baseball's base as a square so you will end up with 4 squares and 2 rhombus.Lastly, the set includes 3D shapes - BUT only sphere, cone, cube, and column. This means the set does not include a pyramid, a prism, or an ovoid. ALL of those 3D shapes are pretty standard. You would not even have to specify triangular or square etc. - just let kids get used to seeing the overall idea of what a prism and pyramids look like. I also wish the set had a hemisphere since every time we cut a round piece of fruit in half we make one, plus we always talk about them when referring to the globe/planet Earth.Overall, I just do not think this set was made by someone who knows math and geometry. I think the set has to be edited and supplemented by the teacher to ensure wrong ideas and concepts are not learned by students.

Packaged rolled..but ok
Would have been better if not shipped rolled up, making me then having to find heavy items to flatten before laminating to use in my classroom.
