Excellent Dried Chanterelle Mushrooms
When I lived in Washington State, I picked Chanterelle Mushrooms almost every weekend in the fall. I sold 3/4 of them, and ate the rest. We would come down from the mountain with 5 gallon buckets. They are so delicious. I introduced these mushrooms to my husband and found out he knew them from his childhood in Germany. So, when I saw these online, I knew I had to try them. And I am not disappointed at all. They are fabulous!! I put a little water with them, nuke them for about 30 seconds, let them cool, they rinsed them with clean water and sauteed them in butter. Yummy, they were really great. I hope you keep them in stock. It's sure cheaper to purchase them from you than to buy a plane ticket to the west coast.

Intense mushroom flavor, yum!
Always a fan of rich, intense flavored mushroom! We used a little of these mushroom, soaked in water overnight, washed carefully and made a creamy mushroom soup with it - So much fragrance from so little mushroom! May have a little smell when you first take out from the bag, but after soaking and cooking the smell of dried food will be gone. A little expensive but worth the premium grade. It’s easy to store with the bag it comes with too.

Crumbled mushrooms
The ad showed sliced whole mushrooms, but in reality it was more bits and pieces

Broken pieces nothing like picture
Looks nothing like pictures. Comes in broken bits and much browner than on product picture. Return has to be at a Whole Foods so if you don’t have one nearby you’re stuck with this product at $15 price tag. Meh

ok, but could be better
these are of unknown color chanterelles, and are dried to such an extent that they do not ever reconstitute. I have tried boiling, steeping, and slow cooking with them, and they are still inedible texture wise. they do impart chanterelle flavor though. Maybe if you grind them to a powder with a food processor before using, that might be a better use for these. Buti had no luck with cutting them up or leaving whole, no matter how long i cooked or soaked them.
