Easy 15min install, great oem part
Installed a pair of these on a 2012 Silverado 5.3l. Mine has about 76k now, I believe these to be factory on mine. Passed inspection but I saw a lot of rust and imo they were likely bad.. The install took me about 15mins. Tools you will need is 21mm open end wrench, and a 21mm socket and ratchet. To make the job easier bring a set of side cutters to cut the metal strap on new strut, and a hammer if any of the bolts are stubborn. You can also use 2 21mm sockets & ratchets like I did since my 21mm wrench vanished. Undo the nut on the bottom of strut, loosen up the top strut bolt, remove lower bolt, then remove upper.. when installing do the top first then lower. They say don’t cut the strap before, I always cut the strap right after I install top bolt, then as it expands have nut ready to slide in and work it right into mount.. if it fails however or you miss you should be able to compress it with one arm back in place. Worst case just use a jack to push it back up. All and all this is a easy job anyone with zero mechanical ability can do don’t pay the crazy costs for someone else to do it. Watch a YouTube video for reference and save yourself some money.

Immediate improvement
Used these to replace rear shocks on 2011 Silverado 1500 with 130k miles. You need to remove the spare tire to get to the driver's side upper shock mount, which took about 30 minutes because the cable was stuck. Once I got the tire down it took 10 minutes on each side to replace. I used a floor jack to compress the shocks a little bit to get the shock on the bottom mount, but I didn't need to actually lift the rear end at all, I was just able to do it laying in the driveway. I drove around the neighborhood and noticed an immediate improvement in the rear suspension, definitely felt more firm and stable. Going over a speed bump at 10 mph the bed of the truck wasn't bouncing around everywhere like it was before. For the cost and install time this was definitely a no-brainer. Dealership wanted over $300 to replace these so I saved a bunch of $$$.

Top eyelet was slightly too big. Had to grind it down.
Only one flaw: Ac Delco shocks. The top eyelet was too large to slide inside the shock mount on the rear of my 2013 Silverado..The ones I replaced were same size top and bottom. I had to grind down the thru washer to fit the top, once done and installed it rides great. For the price I paid, I don’t mind making them fit.

Poor quality
Easy to install , only lasted 5 months before passenger side rear shock started leaking , I called for a replacement shock and was told there were none , I returned both to Amazon to get my credit back on my credit card minus a restocking fee that Amazon charged me , I now went with a pair of rear KYB just a gas shocks and they ride smooth .

Installed these on my truck and just over a year and a half the driver side shock is broken. Bushing snapped. The passenger side my mechanic said it too looks to be on the way out as well. Hoping for a warranty of some kind here either through amazon or through the seller / ACDelco.
