Really great for protein, can make bread, as well as seitan

If you're looking at this then you know about vital wheat gluten and why you want it, so I won't go into that. Suffiec to say that I use this product to make seitan and have bought this brand multiple times as it is a reasonable price and good quality. Crucially for my household, this has no warnings on about nut traces so we can actually use it in a house with someone with a severe nut allergy. (This can be rare in the wholefoods world where MANY products have such warnings!)

As a vegan you try to vary your diet as much as possible... You also have to ensure you are getting enough protein. Vital wheat gluten is the main and essential ingredient in a versatile vegan dish called Seitan... You can buy it, but its so much cheaper and rewarding to make it at home. NKD vital wheat gluten is consistent and reliable and is a good price. The big plus for vegans is that it has a massive 82% protein content... BTW, seitan isn't just reserved for vegans... It's got a great texture and flavour when made properly and can be enjoyed by anyone... give it a try and judge for yourself.

I use this to make seitan at home and found it works well. The bag is a bit awkward to reseal so I just fold it and use a bag clip. Have bought this several times as it is good value for money.
