Favorites (Jumpin' Jim's Ukulele Songbook): 9781480352001: Beloff, Jim, Beloff, Liz: Books Review: At Last, For Baritone Ukulele Players! - These songbooks (Daily Ukulele and Leap Year Daily Ukulele) have been available for soprano/concert/tenor ukes for some time, and they are terrific resources for individuals and groups. But until recently I did not know there was a baritone version. (Baritone ukulele's have a different tuning from the smaller ukuleles, so the chords are different.) It is fun to play easy, three chord songs, but for those who like a little more nuance and harmonic complexity, there are songs in here for you too! The comb binding makes it easy to use on a music stand where it will lie flat. The overall size is sufficient that the music can be read at a distance (much better than a "pocket size" book for folks with older eyes :-) There is a wide variety of songs and styles in this collection, and the arrangements are very good. Either or both books are a wonderful reference for group playing and singsongs. I can hardly wait for a baritone version of the Daily Ukulele Leap Year book. Review: Highly recommended for groups large and small. - E book choice is great. I have all four of the Uke books on my iPad and on my phone. Easy to use, and handy. As for the book—Leap Year contains hundreds of great songs that are popular from more recent years than the songs in the first book, the Daily. Very worth buying both books. Hours and hours of fun.

Good collection for someone new to uke
Good variety of tunes. The books I already have are jazz and blues, for piano or guitar, so this is a more fun collection. I’m starting to bring my new baritone to our Saturday jams, using some tunes in the book. I feel bad for the reviewer who found the chords too complex. I agree the dim and sus chords can be difficult and you need a strategy to approach them. What he or she probably needs is something instructional, leading up to the chords. In fact my guess is that after learning five or six tunes, you probably would have picked up most of the basic chords and for many tunes you wouldn’t need the little charts at the top.

An excellent songbook
This songbook is pretty spectacular. It includes far more of my favorite songs than I ever imagined I would get my hands on in one place. I never figured I would find the lyrics and music/chords to all these Beatles tunes, for example. A great thing about baritone uke is that the chord shapes are virtually the same as guitar chord shapes, so this songbook serves dual purposes. I have played through a number of the songs, and I don't find any missteps. Very easy to use. THANKS!

Great book for playing the Baritone ukulele.
Great ukulele book for the Baritone ukulele. It has everything from old time music to modern music and even holiday music in it. A great source for those starting out as a beginner and also for seasoned players and for ukulele groups to use. I loved it so much, I bought the other book that goes with it. Volume 2. :)

Good binding. No missing pages.
This is the Baritone version of the "standard" ukulele song book by the same authors. Page for page the same. So if your friend is playing a tenor uke and you are playing the bari uke, you can expect to be playing the same song when somebody calls out "Let's play the song on page 139." Keeps the jam session from going off the rails.

Now we can all play together
I love the original “Daily Ukulele” book. Our ukulele club uses that book every week. People who play the Baritone uke could play with the original book , but they needed to know the shapes of their cords, because the other book has the cords for the traditional tunings. Thisbooks makes it much easier for beginning players to play with us.

Same Songs the GCEA ukulele yellow songbook
Very helpful for the outcast baritone player in a GCEA regular ukulele playing group. Helpful basic instrument and musical instruction and the same famous "yellow book" songs but for baritone. Gave as a gift to my baritone playing neighbor so we could do some tunes together.

This is a lead sheet type book and you can use it for baritone ukulele or piano keyboards. The range of songs is good. The songs are a mixture of straight forward and difficult songs. Some books start with simple songs and get progressively more difficult so you come to a point where you give up on the book. This book where there is a mix of difficulty results in your having a go at playing the more difficult chords and improving your range of chords.
