Solid clamps.
Only worries for certain modes of Thule Roof rack. I would double check before you make purchase. I use these with Thule Roof Noke rack 599.

The don’t fit around cross bars
The media could not be loaded. They are too small to fit around cross bars . The hammer bars my Thule rack came with were larger
