OMGOSH.. I'm so in love with this little measuring cup
I didn't think I would like this measuring cup as much as I do. I purchased it for use with my espresso machines - specifically for pulling shots which then have to be poured carefully into milk, etc. The cup is a very nice size (smaller than I expected, which is good actually). It's about the size of a traditional ceramic espresso cup (think Peet's coffee). It's a touch larger and can easily hold two shots. I like that it has marks on the size and have actually started using it to calibrate the shot volume on some of my machines. It's not very good to drink directly out of (due to the pour spout), but it's great when it comes to pouring shots or any small volume of liquid, etc. I wish it didn't cost $13 via Amazon Prime, but what the heck; you only live once :) It works great and is a well made, classy little addition to the coffee cups, etc.

Nice for your espresso machine.
I use this shot glass just about every day for my Vetrano 2b espresso machine. I highly recommend it if you are using shot glasses to measure the volume of espresso. It's much easier than using two separate 1 oz shot glasses. I have tried to not use a measuring cup in the past, and I have found with my non-volumetric espresso machine that this is a bad idea. The glass is just wide enough to catch both streams of espresso in this one cup. If your espresso is pulling too fast (like 10 second shots), then the streams will extend too far out and will spill. As you can see by the pictures, a proper pulled shot that takes about 30 seconds will fit nicely. I do find that I sometimes spill a little in the beginning since it's hard to align exactly before the espresso is pulling. The picture makes it look easy because the camera is only a few inches away. The small handle is nice so that you can position the cup without scorching your hand. Also if you leave the espresso shot in there for a few min, the glass will be too hot to hold, but the handle will remain cool. If you try to pour hot water, it will spill outside since the streams will be wider. You can still pour water in there by just holding the cup up and directly contacting the spouts. I do this to warm the glass. You can also warm the glass by using the water from the steam spout, but I don't usually need to do this. I read that someone had trouble with the glass cracking with hot water. That must have been a manufacturer defect or damage during delivery. I have used this cup more than 600 times (twice a day for a year) and it has not broken. This includes occasional hot steam water, espresso, and usual cleaning. I usually try to clean it with hot water to avoid extreme thermal stress, but I have cleaned the hot glass with cold water and it has not cracked yet.

Great Espresso Shot Glass
UPDATE 10.21.2024: I have washed it with dish soap and cleaned it with a sponge several times through the past few years. The white marks are still there. :) I did a lot of research on espresso shot glasses. Most others similar products have low ratings because the measurement lines wear off or the glass cracks. I've been using this for about a month and I've had no issues. On another note, I love the handle! It's very useful. Also, I just rinse it after I pull the shot, so I don't know if washing it would remove the measurement lines. Anyhow, I think the quality is really good too. It's sturdy and the glass seems solid. I'm happy with it.

Sturdy, clear accurate measurements
This one won’t break! Tough yet tiny! Previous one ordered was thin and easily breakable. I wish it were just slightly larger, as less precision is necessary to catch all the shot without spillage. Otherwise a perfect shot glass!

A true must-have for an espresso bar
This is a great pitcher, with the markings from a 1/2oz ristretto up to 3oz triple espresso shot. The handle lets you preheat it with hot water but not burn your hand when you grab it. And being a pitcher, instead of a shot glass, makes it possible to pour into a travel mug without making a mess. Last thing, at least for my portafilter, the glass is wide enough to catch both pours. Thanks to the reviewer who mentioned to hand wash it only! Update 11/2014: after two years of hand washing the markings still look great with only the Rattleware logo having any defect. Since writing my review in 2012, I find I even use this as my espresso cup most of the time since it has a handle, and because I have a 'thing' for precision that my ceramic demitasse cups do not provide.

Great Little Shot Glass
This is just what the doctor ordered. Glass is heavy, so I don't see it breaking without some major abuse. I was looking for a shot glass with graduations that would fit under the portafilter of my Delonghi EC702, and this fits wonderfully. Now I can add one more consistency to pulling my shots. Update: I've been using this glass twice a day for a few weeks, and it is holding up wonderfully. I rinse with warm water and hand dry after each use. Again, the glass is thick, so I don't see it breaking unless you drop it, or introduce it to some major thermal shock. I know there are other places that sell this for less, but Amazon has become a kind of one stop shop for us, so I don't mind paying a little extra at the same time getting other items. I know I will be getting more of these.

great glass works well for espresso, is not dishwasher safe, logos and measurements will ware off in dishwasher, rendering this not as useful, spouts are great for pouring and is nice to see espresso in glass as it is brewed.

Excellent pitcher, i had looked at a few options & this looked to be one of the best available. It was received well packed & straight out of the box you could tell it was good quality. Marking are clear, handle is great & two optional spouts for pouring out you coffee shots.
