Katsu are making a name for themselves for affordable and well made products. Sure, it's not micron-accurate professional machining standard but then, I'm not a machining professional. :) It's versatility shines when clamping items ready for milling or drilling. Never again will I have to loosen the bolds holding my 'standard' vise just so I can adjust the piece needing to be drilled or milled. Astonishing piece of kit. Highly recommend for weekend warriors like me. :)

Need to tweek it a bit to get it to work smoothly. But not too bad for the price.

Overall very happy with this 125mm vise, Its much bigger and heaver than expected. Needs a cleaning and lubricating.I found it very accurate for my needs It would suite a pillar drill more so than a bench drill because its big, however it worked fine on my bench drill. Vise needs to be set at an angle to accommodate, the rear slide handle, some people on YouTube fitted the slide handle to front of vise but it gets in the way of closing of vise. This is not a high precision engineers vise its a excellent diy product.

Excellent product, worth the extra, needs some grease added to the screws to ease the moment but once done works like a dream.

The finish was better than I expected, like many tools it needed adjusting prior to use. I am using it to mill on a drilling machine and as long as you treat it carefully it's not at all bad.

With no overall dimensions listed it was way too big for my pedestal drill.

So there are many similar vices on the market. I like this one because… Much thicker mounting plates for lead screws Better finished and quality handles I chose the 3 inch to keep the weight down and because it will work for most applications. To get the best from this take it apart wash off any grit and reassemble with oil and grease. In the end a very functional compound drill press vice.

Bought the 100 mm version for my drillpress. Vice is solid and quite heavy. It runs without problem on all axises. The workpiece is held securely and the grip is exact and strong. Well machined, well assembled, I didn't have to adjust anything, only give it a treat with a wax paste for protection.

Se ve resistente y cuidado. Hay que saber ajustar los tornillos a su medida hasta quedar afinado el apriete y deslizamiento al gusto de cada uno. Por lo demás perfecto.

Comme tous ce qui est chinois... faut commencer par demonter, nettoyer, graisser, redresser (les lardons) et ajuster. Les lardons sont en tole decoupé au cisaille. Je les remplaceront plus tard par du bronze. Une fois ajusté et remonté... rien à redire pour le prix ! Rainure pour clavette / 1. fraiser la rainure. 2. Ajuster la clavette (à la main). C'est plus precis comme ça.
